Q. Alena, what a day. To split it in two, to be here pushing your own bag, just how are you feeling walking off the green today?
ALENA SHARP: You know, I didn't have my best stuff today. I was definitely nervous, but I hung in there and I just kept grinding it out.
That's what you got to do. It's a long week, 90 holes. You know, I'm just happy walking off the green. I knew what I needed to do coming in so I was watching that leaderboard. Probably it helped me to stay more focused on what I had to do.
I hit a really good shot on 16 and almost made an eagle. Hit the green on 17 and 18 which were playing long today because of the wind.
Just really happy where I'm sitting.
Q. I know you came off and said, I just need to give someone a hug. You've been here by yourself. Sarah isn't here this week. In general, what are you most proud of out of a week like this, especially now going back into 2025 on the LPGA Tour?
ALENA SHARP: I think for me, coming off Tampa I really didn't want to come out to this. I was like in limbo. Talking to Sarah, talking to Sarah Kemp, my coach, the last thing I want to do is go to Q-Series. I'll just take what I have.
I'm glad I came because I was playing well coming into it and got off to a really good start and just played solid all week. So I'm really happy walking away with a card and, you know, not sitting on the outside looking in for the first part of the season.
Hopefully I'll get starts right away instead of having to wait until like June to play. Really excited about that.
