Quick Quotes

Q. Joining us after the final round of The Chevron Championship is Patty Tavatanakit. Patty, hard-fought battle out there. Can you just recap your week as a whole?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: To be honest, I feel like I didn't have my A-game at all, but I just managed myself really well. Just kept grinding out there. Made really nice up and downs all week, which is great.

At the same time, I really wish I had my iron game a little bit better.

Q. You said yesterday you're working a lot on not only being a person on the golf course. How do you feel that and embrace that right now?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Sorry, what was the question?

Q. How do you feel like you're still Patty even off the golf course regardless how you play?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: It's nice to play well, but at the same time, it's not as heavy as before where like, oh, I played well, what can I do next. It's more like, I'm here. I'm where I'm at. We'll see where it's going just kind of.

I have a lot of work to do when I get home. I feel like I really need to figure out my irons. I couldn't really feel the start line the whole week, and today a little bit of feel that I talked to Sean this morning helped.

Feel like I struck it well; just didn't get the numbers right. You know, we go back and we work. (Smiling.)

Q. How validating is a finish like this without your A-game as you look to the rest of the season?

PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, it just shows regardless where you are with your game, just there is always room to figure out. There is always an opportunity to make something happen.

I was really far away from a perfection this week. To be able to finish second, it proves I don't need to be perfect.
