THE MODERATOR: All right very pleased to be joined by Minjee Lee ahead of the CPKC Women's Open. Minjee, runner-up finish last year with the battle with Brooke. Outside of that have never missed cut in Canada. Can you just talk about just what about Canadian golf brings out the best in your game.
MINJEE LEE: Yeah, I always love coming back to Canada. I feel like it feels a little more like home. I feel like the people are really lovely, and just whenever I am in Canada I just, I don't know, I feel like we always get great conditions off the golf course and also good weather.
Yeah, just always enjoy coming back and visiting.
Q. First start since the Open this year. Talk about in the past month anything you've been focusing on with your game heading into the last stretch of the season?
MINJEE LEE: Yeah, I haven't really had the best season so far. You know, I know golf can change in a couple swings or a couple of different thoughts here and there, but, yeah, struggled a little bit through Asia -- not through Asia -- through Europe, and but hopefully I can turn the tables a little bit the next few weeks and then have a good strong finish to the year.
Q. And you kind of mentioned it, how golf can switch in an instant. We've had players throughout these press conferences this week mention that as well. How do you keep the mindset when things aren't going well?
MINJEE LEE: I mean, I think it's a little difficult when you're having a swing change and you're trying to trust it and taking it on the golf course. I feel like you just need like a lot of reps obviously under pressure, and, you know, sometimes when it's not going your way you can have, you know, some thoughts that are, you know, a little bit doubtful.
But I think I have such a great team around me, and my caddie, Mikey, he's always trying to be encouraging, as encouraging as you can be on the golf course and trying to keep it light and fun out there.
I think just being able to rely on my team, and just sometimes you just have to put in the reps and get through it. So, yeah, just trying to do that.
Q. What was it like last year coming down the stretch playing Brooke and basically having an entire country rooting on the other side? Was that a difficult situation to be in?
MINJEE LEE: Not really because, you know, I'm -- I think my personality, I kind of stick to myself a little bit and just try and focus on what's going on with me.
But it was a whole lot of fun. The Canadian crowds are always quite respectful. I don't think I ever got a heckle or anything.
No, I think in the eyes of the Canadian fans, yes that my been, but I didn't feel -- I mean, I didn't feel like I was getting rooted against or anything, so I think that was good.
It's just kind of nice to, I mean, see Brooke have so much support. And obviously she won; I came second. But, yeah, I was happy for her at the end of the day, so...
THE MODERATOR: All right, thank, Minjee.
MINJEE LEE: Thank you.
