Q. All right, here with Nelly Korda after the second round of the Mexico Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba. Bogey-free today. Can you just talk about it?
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, it was a good day. You know, drove it really well. Hit it to the right spots on the green and capitalized on some good shots.
Q. Jess posted today she's expecting number two. Can you talk about how excited you are to be an aunt times two now?
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, so excited. It's been a hard secret to keep, but I'm so happy for them. I mean, she's just such an amazing mom, and to see her step into that role two years ago with Greyson, I've never seen her so happy.
I'm super excited for them. Selfishly really excited for me because I can spoil another little baby. Yeah, just exciting times in the Korda and DelPrete fam.
Q. Bogey-free. Solid round for you today. How would you assess it?
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, I mean, overall just a solid day. You know, didn't make any mistakes really. If I did, I bounced back really well.
Q. Was it different to play in the morning, any difference?
NELLY KORDA: Not really, because the wind was already pretty strong already in the morning. Maybe just wasn't as hot.
Q. With two rounds in the books, what would you see as the keys to have success on this golf course?
NELLY KORDA: Drive it straight, hit it close, and make putts.
Q. Pretty much.
NELLY KORDA: Yeah, just standard.
Q. What are your plans for the afternoon? You have almost all the day off. Do you go to the beach? Have some tacos? I don't know.
NELLY KORDA: I don't know yet, but what I have is I need to get physio time. Going to get treatment and relax.
I'm not going to sit in the sun though because I've been in the sun a for a long time the past two days and my body needs to just relax and not be in the heat.
Q. How do you feel playing in El Camaleon?
NELLY KORDA: Great. Playing with Gaby the crowds have been amazing, to see the local support for her. And not complaining about where I am on the leaderboard. Playing some solid golf and playing in front of fun crowds, hometown crowds for Gaby is fun to see. Hopefully I can continue playing well, good golf going into the weekend.
Q. In what holes do you feel more comfortable?
NELLY KORDA: In what what?
Q. In which holes do you feel more comfortable?
NELLY KORDA: Holes?
Q. Yeah.
NELLY KORDA: I try to feel comfortable in all 18 of them.
