Q. Here with Arpichaya Yubol after her third round at the Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba. Talk about how you played today.
ARPICHAYA YUBOL: It's kind of solid day for me, so I just stay on my game. So play, keep playing on my plan everything.
Actually I'm really excited because I'm play with Gaby, so that's kind of have a big fan and big crowd and her family and everyone here.
When I'm start on the tee box honestly I'm really excited. I'm feel like oh, my God. So it's long time to have a big crowd like this follow on my group. It's fun. Yeah, it's a good day.
And then I think today is many thing is happen for me. Like from the hard shot I can make to the easy shot some hole. And I can make a putt birdie from any hole I can do, yes.
Q. What was your game plan going into today? You mentioned sticking to it. What was it going into today?
ARPICHAYA YUBOL: So Mexico is kind of windy because Cancun is kind of island, so just make sure your ball is on the fairway every hole as I can do.
And, yeah, so LPGA is always challenge keep the -- put the pin on like very hard position almost every hole, so I kind of like don't play really aggressive to the hole. I just play like on the big game, like kind of keep the ball on the green and try to make easy putt and sometime you can make birdie. That's my game plan this week, yeah.
Q. You said playing with Gaby. How many people were there out there? Were you feeding off them a little bit? Did it feel good to have that many people?
ARPICHAYA YUBOL: Oh, how can I say? So first hole I'm very excited so I saw many people. Okay, you have to breathe and control yourself as you can do, and everything happen is happen. So just hit your ball and just talk with my dad. He's caddie this week.
Just keep talking with him like what I feel. Yeah, I'm think I'm excited almost like nine holes and then after hole nine we got warning a little bit so keep like moving. So, okay, I just a back to focus to my game more.
But, yeah, always the big crowd with Gaby, yes.
Q. What's it been like to have your dad caddie for you this week?
ARPICHAYA YUBOL: I can see his face. He is really happy and excited, too, so this is the best position right now for us. We work together. He's getting old now. He says probably maybe this is last like time caddie if he tired. I say with that okay, we have to do or best this week. Every thing happen is happen and especially I know my position is not good right now because they going to do reshuffle after this week.
So I remind myself all the time you have to focus on your game and then everything happen is happen. So it's golf. So just focus on your game, do your best, and just make it.
Q. And you're a couple shots behind Nelly right now. What do you think it'll take to overcome her tomorrow? Have you thought about tomorrow?
ARPICHAYA YUBOL: No. I have to play with her tomorrow?
Q. It looks like it right now.
ARPICHAYA YUBOL: Oh. All right. It's like my dream come true. (Laughter.)
Q. Why is that?
ARPICHAYA YUBOL: So how do you say, like it's like my dream. I never play with her before. Like Nelly, Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko, so they both kind of like, how do you say, like my idol, kind of like that, because they play very good.
And if I have to play with her tomorrow it's just like my dream is come true. So my life is complete right now.
So I just do my best and everything happen. Like today I play with Gaby.
Q. Last question: Did you learn any new Spanish words today playing with Gaby?
ARPICHAYA YUBOL: Not really but I'm learn from my caddie last year, so just good morning. Buenas dias, and thank you, like gracias. Yes.
