Vanderbilt 5, Mississippi 4
DOMINIC KEEGAN: To start off, Christian Little came out and probably his best performance of the year. He attacked the hitters really well and had confidence up there, and it was really good to see. Offense struggle in the beginning. Middle of our order, kind of carried us through the beginning parts of the game. And then Murph coming in and shutting them down the way he did really helped us get ourselves back into the game.
Then at the end, it was just about one pitch at a time, stacking up at bats, and getting the job done and competing.
Q. What were you looking for in that spot at the end? Were you looking to go to right or you hit it where it was pitched?
DOMINIC KEEGAN: I just hit it where it was pitched. Early in the count, I was kind of looking for a fastball lower in the zone, but at the end right there, once Enrique stole third base, I just needed to put the ball in play.
Q. How can winning a dramatic game like that that went back and forth against a really good team help you guys going forward long term?
DOMINIC KEEGAN: I think it's really going to help us moving forward. I think we've been in that position multiple times this year, and I think we reacted well. We all like to compete. We all like to be in that big moment. When we are working as a team like that, one at bat after another, I think it's really going to help us moving forward.
