David Johnson

Press Conference

Colts 26, Texans 20

Q. David, could you describe what it's like to lose a game like that?

DAVID JOHNSON: It's tough, obviously. It's always tough to lose a game like that. For me, I don't believe it's always one play that makes it like that. I definitely had a couple plays where I wanted back to help out the offense.

Q. How did you feel about being back, and can you describe your touchdown?

DAVID JOHNSON: Man, I felt great. I was excited. It's been a long time. It felt like forever that I was on IR and not being with the team and just spectating, and it felt good, especially since I was able to get that touchdown. It felt good just being back with the boys, being back with the team and playing the game that I love.

Q. What did you see on the last play, the fumble? From your vantage point what did you see?

DAVID JOHNSON: Just the snap and then I tried to get on the ball, me and Deshaun, but it just squirted out and they jumped on it.

Q. As a team, it was obviously a difficult week. How did you feel like you handled all that with the suspensions to two of your more talented players?

DAVID JOHNSON: Those guys stepped up and did great for us, Keke, Chad, those guys stepped up and did great. Obviously we have Brandin who's always been doing good for us, so we just rallied together as an offense. You rally together as a team and we tried to get the win. I mean, it was that close.

Q. You're coming off injured reserve; did you feel more pressure on yourself with Will out to try to take up some of that slack?

DAVID JOHNSON: No, not at all. I didn't feel that at all. I just was honestly glad to be back, being back on the football field.
