Colts 26, Texans 20
Q. What is it about you and the Colts, to have three 100-yard games against them, and how does it make you feel today to have such a big contribution?
KEKE COUTEE: We always know where those guys are going to be. They do a lot of things, but most of the time we know where they're going to be, and just being ready when our number is called. This season has been a crazy one, 2020, so just being ready when my number is called, catching the ball.
Q. Keke, how difficult has it been for you to kind of after the Ravens game to not play a lot, then all of a sudden you get your chance? Has this been a roller coaster emotionally the entire season and not playing a lot the previous year, as well?
KEKE COUTEE: I refer it to some as trials and tribulations. Things happen for a reason. I learned from that, and I've just been waiting to play since that week 2 game. Ever since then I've continued to grind, keep my head down and just continued to work hard.
Q. Have you changed anything as far as learning from those past things and just saying, you know what, it gives you perspective? What kind of have you gained from all that?
KEKE COUTEE: No doubt. Yeah, like I said before, like I've learned from everything. You live and you learn, know what I mean? The only thing you can do is continue to go forward.
Q. From your perspective, why is it do you think that it's been a struggle to get you on the field, especially given what you showed early on in your career?
KEKE COUTEE: I feel like it's a lot of factors that go into it, but me, I just have to do my job, show up to work hard every day, and on Sundays just continue to make plays. You know, that other stuff (indiscernible).
Q. What about as far as this game? What do you think it was that allowed you to have such a big game today?
KEKE COUTEE: Like I said, we know where they're going to be, where they're going to be coverage-wise, getting set up in open spaces. Everybody had a pretty good game. Chad had a great game, everybody, running backs. I feel like we had a pretty good game, but obviously we (indiscernible).
Q. What did Deshaun do to kind of instill confidence in the receivers and the offense as a whole this week after you guys lost Will?
KEKE COUTEE: Just repetition throughout the week, practice field repetitions, things like that. Deshaun having trust in us, we've got to play (indiscernible). If a guy goes down, we have guys that are ready to step up and make plays.
Q. Do you feel like with your performance since you've gotten back on the field and you've gotten some regular opportunities that you sort of proven maybe wrong the people who doubted you and then rewarded the people who still had faith in you?
KEKE COUTEE: I feel like, yeah, in a way, yeah, for the people that doubted me from the week 2 game, but me, I didn't get down on that. I just kept my head up, continued to grind. I know the person I am, so good things happen if you continue to work.
Q. Could you describe how you got so open on that 64-yarder?
KEKE COUTEE: It was just a route concept that we had. We knew where they were going to be, just the top of the safety route there. I was able to get over the top, and Deshaun made a great throw, and it was a great way to start the game.
Q. Sometimes when there's a coaching change it will spark a team. Has Romeo Crennel provided that spark and do you think also just having a different coach might open someone's mind to maybe a player like yourself that was on the bench and then now you're playing with him in a leadership role?
KEKE COUTEE: Yeah, RAC has been around for a long time, so it really wasn't a big change for him to step into that role. He's our head coach right now, so that's who we're playing for right now. He's a great coach, so I feel like with him coming in, everybody -- the team energy is up, so we're still pretty confident the rest of the season.
