Brandin Cooks

Press Conference

Bengals 37, Texans 31

Q. Brandin, I know the game results are not what you want, but what would it mean to you to have 1,000 yards for the fifth time in your career?

BRANDIN COOKS: I mean, honestly I genuinely didn't know that. When you're in the type of game like that in the type of season we're in all you want to do is win and put good film out there, and unfortunately we came up short.

Q. You were probably listening to J.J. I would imagine, correct?

BRANDIN COOKS: Absolutely.

Q. Your thoughts on his sentiments and kind of how you feel about it, because obviously it's frustration throughout the locker room?

BRANDIN COOKS: Yeah, I mean, I think he said it perfect. You don't play this game to lose like we've been losing. Man, it's horrible, but I think we've got guys that's going to continue to fight, and that's all we genuinely can do and control the things that we can control and show up and try to get better and finish on a positive note.

Q. Were you guys worried when Deshaun was going to be evaluated by trainers and was there sort of a lot of relief when he went back in the game?

BRANDIN COOKS: Always. Anytime your guys are down, especially your quarterback, you kind of hold your breath a little bit. Thank God he's all right, and yeah.

Q. When you got the ball back with 1:57 left, were you confident that Deshaun would take it down the field?

BRANDIN COOKS: No doubt about it. I was, but it didn't happen. But I'm always going to be confident. Any time there's time on the clock and we've got the guys we have, I'm always going to be confident.
