Q. The turnovers, what does this do?
TERRENCE BROOKS: Just gives you more emphasis in the game of going and taking the ball away. I feel like some guys get so caught up in the game that they forget that it's all about the ball and that's just something he's been honing in on ever since we got here day one and you have a lot of guys out there just hungry and love to play the game and they are going out there trying to take the ball away and it's been good.
Q. Is it different from other teams --
TERRENCE BROOKS: I feel like every team is going to want to get turnovers, defense for sure. But just going out there and kind of just trying to get as many strip attempts as we can, and interceptions, just turnovers in general and it's really been getting detailed a lot throughout training camp. So it's been working for us pretty well.
Q. Do you guys chart your strip attempts?
TERRENCE BROOKS: We just have basic competition. Guys out there want to get the most points and most strips and stuff like that. It's been a good competition. It's been good.
Q. In the final preseason game, guys trying to make the team and everybody out there is not going to make the team. Is there more of a sense of urgency to make an impression?
TERRENCE BROOKS: I can only speak for myself, this is my eighth year and I go in with the approach that I'm a rookie every single year and I love the game of football.
So every time I step on the field it's the same intensity for me. I don't know fits going to be my last game or not. I'm just trying to -- I felt like my grandma always like says, like there's always going to be new people watching you play football and what impression do you want to leave. Every time I step on the field I want people to see that he's a really good player or he's doing this and that. That's just my approach every time with it.
Q. Can you describe what you saw on the play --
TERRENCE BROOKS: Just playing football, man. Just trying to be instinctive out there and just trying to just be around the ball as much as I can. But like I said I just love the game so I'm going out there with high energy and want to go fly around and be all over the field.
Q. Did you learn anything about the defensive unit today between turnovers and also giving up plays with Tom Brady out there?
TERRENCE BROOKS: Yeah, there's always going to be mistakes in the game. If you don't make any, nobody is going to win, you feel me. Just take that and you go back to the drawing board and make sure -- just go out there and create all the mistakes and learn and that's what football is about, get better each week, each day, that's about it.
Q. Tom's stature as a quarterback --
TERRENCE BROOKS: Yeah, I got to play in Tom with New England for a couple years so I got to practice against him. He's an awesome guy, very down-to-earth and we talk a lot about our families and stuff like that. Tom is a great player and everybody sees that he can pick you apart at any time and he's been around the game forever. It's great to go against him. I wish I could go against him autumn the time because you want to go against the best and you want to prove yourself and Tom is a great guy to do that against.
Q. This team has a lot of veterans on one-year contracts and not a lot of young players. Does the locker room feel different?
TERRENCE BROOKS: It makes the competition high. Everybody wants to go out there and do their best. For me I really don't worry about contracts. You just give me the opportunity to be on the field and snap the ball and that's all I need.
