CHUBA HOWARD: (In progress.) I mean, I just run the ball and hit my keys, follow my holes, and when stuff happens, it happens. Obviously the O-line did a great job. Felt that we did a very better job in the second half and just kind of started getting things going.
Q. What was your kind of reaction in the offense's mood when Christian was in the tent for as long as he was and then when they ruled him out?
CHUBA HOWARD: It was just a tough situation. You never want to see a teammate go down, especially Christian. It was just tough situation.
Q. Did you get a chance to talk to him after the game?
CHUBA HOWARD: Yeah, that was the first thing I did.
Q. What was your words to him?
CHUBA HOWARD: Just praying for him. Obviously football comes with injury and stuff like that. It's tough. Just praying he'll come back fast, and obviously he will. He's Christian.
Q. It's your sense he will?
CHUBA HOWARD: Yeah, he'll be okay.
Q. Can you speak a little bit about that 91 yard drive ya'll had from 7 to 6 to 14 to 6, kind of a huge drive there. What do you remember about that?
CHUBA HOWARD: Yeah, I mean, we were just moving the ball really well, starting to move the wall well really, get a rhythm. I thought the O-line, tight ends, receivers, obviously Sam, did a really good job. We were just all clicking, just doing a really good job.
Q. (Regarding Tommy Tremble.)
CHUBA HOWARD: Yeah, that's my boy Tommy, so I was happy he got in the end zone.
Q. You had had some issues first couple weeks in pass protection and stuff. Do you feel a lot more pressure now to be on pointe, not just running the ball, but all the other stuff that Christian does?
CHUBA HOWARD: I mean, to be a runningback you got to be able to do everything, pass protect, catch the ball, and run the ball, so that's been a point of emphasis for me over the last year, and I thought that I've progressed in it definitely.
Q. Anybody have any words for you tonight when you went in or at halftime when you were going to be the guy?
CHUBA HOWARD: Just pretty much just do my job. We harp that every week. You do your job, everyone does their job, everything will take care of itself. That's really what everyone was saying. Stay calm and do your thing.
