Colts 31, Texans 0

Q. Don't get too many shut-outs. What was your reaction to that? What's that like?

KENNY MOORE: Good work. Good work. Going into the game we wanted jump out pretty fast, and from there we just wanted to build momentum for the offense.

Great team effort.

Q. How is the defense different now from weeks one and two, especially the secondary?

KENNY MOORE: I believe I said it before, and it's pretty much just with time and experience, we know each game we are going to get better and better.

So from game one to whatever week it is right now, we just want to be climbing.

Q. (No microphone.)

KENNY MOORE: Everything, and I think that's for anybody that haven't been on that platform before. I think it'll be pretty emotional for me in where I come from and starting in high school and going Division II and just beating all the odds.

Q. (No microphone.)

KENNY MOORE: Well, we were just working on the spring outs that Houston was playing. Actually came back to that play as well. I recognized that it was boot and the play caller, made me span to the sideline and he just wanted a cheap move with the receiver.

That's just something that I had -- or it's one of those heads up plays, so...

Q. (Regarding accolades.) How does that make you feel knowing you're doing your thing and people are noticing?

KENNY MOORE: It's great. Like I said, I'm a little emotional honestly.

(Laughter.) I been watching that a lot lately. Back to your question, Darius Leonard sent me a text Wednesday just encouraging me to reach the pinnacle of my play and just be better to help this team win.

He's basically middle of the defense, making a lot of plays, and he's great at what he's doing, but he put the some -- I don't want to say pressure -- but he just encouraged me, gave me a nudge, to be the player that I am, and that's turning the ball over, communicating with the guys in the back end, getting everybody lined up, and playing hard with effort.

That's just something that I appreciated from him this week as well as in this the game.

Q. (Regarding Hard Knocks.)

KENNY MOORE: For sure it was inspiring just talking to Tom Brady last week. You never know who is watching. I just feel like I was another guy in New England just trying to find my way.

You know, rookie season, and he called me 42 whenever I was over there. That was my jersey number. It's pretty cool to years later to hear him speak about me and how I was when I was over in New England. Like I said, I thought no one else was really paying attention.

It's always great seeing the guys that I played with my rookie year for that team, and I seen some other teammates out here, like Brandon, Rex Burkhead, Rivers on the D-line. Always great linking back up with them and chopping it up.

Q. Do you think these emotions will come back out when you play the Patriots?

KENNY MOORE: Probably so. Just seeing some familiar faces with the trainers and coaches and everything, but there is a bigger theme at stake, and that's to win the ballgame versus them. The preparation and everything leading up to the game will be pretty special, but there is a goal to reach, and that's win the game.

Q. Is part of you, is it hard not to think like you guys missed...

KENNY MOORE: No, I don't really think that way. Just whoever has helped me grow and the Patriots have helped me grow and gave me a lot of knowledge to be the player that I could be right now.

That's knowledge that I can still keep up and share with my teammates now. No bad blood at all. I just appreciate the opportunity of playing for the Patriots when I did.

Q. (Regarding his mom.)

KENNY MOORE: Yeah, for sure. She probably going to need a Tylenol or a tall glass of wine. It was great having my mother here, as well as my twin sister. I just want to say congrats to my twin sister forget getting her second degree this weekend. This is pretty much the first season that my mother have been able to follow myself and my team for the first time in my life pretty much because she was always working growing up and stuff.

So that's something that I cherish going forward each game, just having her in the stands. I just want to play for her and everybody that I love back home. Like I said, it's bigger than myself. Thank you. Appreciate it.
