Chargers 29, Texans 41
(In progress.)
CHRIS HARRIS: We never know what's going to happen so everybody has to be ready.
Q. How did that go down with Michael? Did you expect him to be out there and he wasn't there?
CHRIS HARRIS: I mean, we just got back to the locker room and he just wasn't feeling good. Scary thing going on, you know, so especially with our team. We see it's running rampant right now, so he just didn't feel good.
And Mike, if he's feeling good he going to play, so he had to not be feeling the right way to be able to give it his all today.
We just had to adjust and made it hard. That wasn't to the reason we lost. We got to stop the run a little bit better, get off on third downs better. That definitely was an adjustment.
Q. With the third down defense specifically it's been a bit of issue all will season long.
CHRIS HARRIS: Yeah.
Q. What do you feel like is the issue on third downs?
CHRIS HARRIS: In this defense everybody has to be tied together, everybody. If one person is not doing their job it can mess up the whole defense. It's a connected defense and we have a lot of -- we've had a lot of moving parts and haven't do the that real chemistry with so many moving parts. That's what I would say.
Q. We just talked to Rashawn. He mentioned that one takeaway from this game for him is that you can't look past anyone in the NFL.
CHRIS HARRIS: Yeah.
Q. Do you feel like that's a lesson as a young player in this league guys have to learn?
CHRIS HARRIS: Oh, yeah.
Q. In order to be a good team, because...
CHRIS HARRIS: Yeah, it's the NFL. Everybody gets paid and we got tons of guys out. They had tons of guys out. It's one of those games you never know what can happen. So guys got to be ready. A lot of guys had opportunity to step up and kind of show what they did, and we couldn't really do that today. Guys didn't -- I don't think we took full advantage of the opportunity we had today.
Q. So many moving parts. Is it realistic to expect you guys to come here and play really well with both teams missing guys?
CHRIS HARRIS: No, it's not. I mean, we had a great week of practice, so we expected to come here and play a good game, so going out there and playing like we did was definitely unexpected for sure.
