Q. (Question about final preseason game)?
KAMU GRUGIER-HILL: I think this game's -- this is a good game to get everything fine tuned. We've been working hard all preseason and just trying to get all the guys in there and just working together. It will be pretty important.
Q. How are you moving, you feel really good?
KAMU GRUGIER-HILL: Yeah, I feel good. Just trying to perfect my craft and just keep getting better every week.
Q. If you look at the other night with so much penetration and lot (no microphone)?
KAMU GRUGIER-HILL: The rush?
Q. Yeah, the rush.
KAMU GRUGIER-HILL: That was good to see. As a linebacker, to see D-line get it home and stuff. That's exciting for us. We're happy about it for sure.
Q. Maybe some blitzes for you?
KAMU GRUGIER-HILL: Yeah, maybe we can dial some of those up. That would be nice.
Q. What did it mean to see John Metchie out here?
KAMU GRUGIER-HILL: It was awesome. I can't imagine what he's going through. To see him out and see him doing so well, it's amazing man. It's such a blessing. He's such a great guy.
Q. What does it do for the team?
KAMU GRUGIER-HILL: It makes us take a look at all of us, right? We take this for granted a lot. For a guy like Metchie just to wake up one day and his whole life is different for now, was just, like you said, it's a blessing to be out here.
We're excited to see him grow and just continue to get better.
Q. When you look at the familiarity of a guy like Desmond King, who's played in the slot and also on the outside, what does it do for your defense, especially the secondary, for certain matchups?
KAMU GRUGIER-HILL: It's a great thing, right? A lot of people -- I think a lot of corners struggle to play nickel because they don't understand how to play zone defense. In the slot, it's like playing linebacker, right? But Des can do it all. To have that versatility to go back and forth, it just keeps offenses guessing.
Q. What do you think the immediate impact that Jalen and Harris can make in that secondary? It seems they almost immediately made plays for you guys in the preseason.
KAMU GRUGIER-HILL: They can run. They're smart, young guys. They're ahead of the game for sure. I'm excited for the year.
Q. There's a lot of details in this tattoo.
KAMU GRUGIER-HILL: This is all biblical, just what's really important to me. Just my story and things I relate to.
Q. Was that done in the off-season?
KAMU GRUGIER-HILL: Yeah.
Q. How many hours did that take?
KAMU GRUGIER-HILL: All this was probably like 24, yeah.
Q. One session?
KAMU GRUGIER-HILL: No, no. I broke it up over different days, yeah.
Q. What's the message you're trying to get to these rookies in their final preseason game before the regular season starts?
KAMU GRUGIER-HILL: For me, being a lower drafted guy and someone that was waived and then picked up, I relate a lot to those guys that are trying to make the team and stuff. So just letting it loose and not having any regrets.
Just letting them know that they've been putting in the hard work and just to keep dominating.
Q. We haven't been able to see a lot of the rookie Christian Harris. When he's been out here, what were you able to see from him?
KAMU GRUGIER-HILL: He's impressive. Just the way he can move, the way he runs, he's an athlete. I can honestly say I haven't seen much people like him before. I'm excited to get him back for sure.
