Q. (No microphone.)

TREY LANCE: Never feels good to lose, but we will learn from it, turn the page. Not going to make a bigger deal out of it than we need to for sure.

Yeah, like I said, never feels good to lose. Some ugly stuff out there for sure. Man, definitely wasn't our best night, but like I said, man, we're not going to make a too big of a deal out of it.

Watch the tape tomorrow, learn from it, get better.

Q. How ready do you feel for the real games now that you have preseason under your belt?

TREY LANCE: I'm excited. Man, super excited to get to go. Almost got the whole game back together on offense this week. We were close. Couple guys getting healthy.

But these 17 days will be super important for us before Chicago.

Q. Where did you feel like you made your biggest strides since the opening of camp to where you are now?

TREY LANCE: All over the place. I mean, practice is different than games for sure. Just chemistry with the guys on and off the field. Offense, defense, just becoming more familiar with how guys run their routes, how guys see the game.

Like I said, man, these 17 days will be super important for us.

Q. 22 snaps. Did you feel like that kind of experience in game situation is valuable experience?

TREY LANCE: For sure. Absolutely. I've said it all year. Every rep I feel like I get better and learn so much from every rep. Seeing pictures, banking pictures, memorizing different looks, just seeing as many things as I can and get as many live game reps as I can.

Q. The confidence that Kyle has in you how, much does that boost your confidence?

TREY LANCE: Yeah, the guys in the locker room, just them having my back and I know they got my back and I got theirs, that's all that matters to me.

Q. Offensive line has been a work in progress. Have you seen some development?

TREY LANCE: Yeah, they been doing a great job. Man, they did their job tonight. Couple ones I could have got the ball out faster for sure. Yeah, they're doing their thing, doing a great job and stacking days.

Q. (No microphone.) Looked like you were dealing with some pretty consistent pressure. Do you put that on yourself?

TREY LANCE: Yeah, like I said, I could have got the ball out faster for sure on a few looks. But, yeah, they're doing a great job. They're stacking days, mismatching guys in and out. It was good to get J-Mo back for the preseason before we are ready to go for real.

Yeah, man, like I said, they're doing a great job.

Q. I know we talked last year about Jimmy being such a positive influence on you and he's still around. Do you guys talk much? Does he give you advice? Is he still a sounding board for you?

TREY LANCE: We talk kind of just in passing. He's not really around for practice or meetings or anything like that. But Nate Sudfeld and Brock have been that for me for sure this year. They have done a great job. Again, just having two guys that I know got my back.

Q. Talk about them, that quarterback room. Both look like they had good camps. Brock came out of nowhere and looks pretty good too.

TREY LANCE: Yeah, all the confidence in the world in those guys. The way they come to work every single day, they're locked in. There is going to be up and downs for all of us, but, man, us being a tight group helps a lot.
