Q. So we've seen a lot of pressure on the quarterback over these ten days. Just how excited are you about this defensive front now? What has left you encouraged about these ten days?
DAVON GODCHAUX: I'm very excited. Big thanks -- starting that practice, working hard, getting the things we need to do. I mean, just excited we got two guys on the edge, rush the passer, set the edge, stop the run, guys up the middle, me, Chris, Zach, very excited.
Q. What can you say about Shaq's ability to get around the edge and Emmanuel's ability to backup passes on the line, how much can that help you?
DAVON GODCHAUX: Makes it easier for the guys inside and also when you have guys inside that can press the pocket, beat one-on-ones, makes it easier for them, too. So like I said, it's going to be a two-way -- working hand-in-hand to those guys, they work hand-in-hand with us so I'm very excited for us. Can't wait till the season.
Q. On Raekwon Davis, how has he developed?
DAVON GODCHAUX: He's doing good. We ask for 3-technique, sometimes when you play nose, I'm very excited for him to lay his first game in the NFL. We didn't have OTAs or preseason, so I'm very excited to see him in live action actually in a game because he's been doing some great things in practice.
Q. Obviously Solomon -- what you've observed on the practice field, going up against the interior?
DAVON GODCHAUX: First of all I like him because he's an SEC guy, so I like him. He's a big guy, has great feet for a big guy and he's very aggressive. I like those tangibles about him. Just have to keep everything kept and keep listening to coach and I think the sky is the limit for him.
Q. Touching back on that SEC theme and you also have some guys from Clemson, as well what is it about players that play southeast kind of football that kind of lends to what you guys are trying to do on the defensive line?
DAVON GODCHAUX: I mean, it's very physical. When you come out of the SEC -- when you come -- teams like Clemson, too, it's very physical football. Of course they don't play in the SEC, that's no knock on them. But at the end of the day, it's very physical football. It's hit-in-the-mouth, it's smashmouth football, and today with the -- (indiscernible) update it with the passing game and spread offense, and that's very good, so you have a two-way street with the run and the pass.
So I think when you come in the NFL it's kind of like a next step. Everybody always told this -- it's like a baby version of the NFL, so I mean, when you have a chance to come out and compete against guys in the NFL, you know you're competing at a high level.
Q. I know you've spoke about this in the past but obviously you guys have been speaking about social justice initiatives over this week. How does that hit you when you see the Jacob Blake situation and what are some of the conversations like in the team?
DAVON GODCHAUX: I'd rather not talk about that. I leave that up to me and the fellas in the locker room. Of course you guys see what's going on in this world. We just going to demand change and it's going to start with this young generation and demand change and demand everyone being treated fair. Just kind of keep that in the locker room.
