Bills - 31, Dolphins - 28

Q. Congratulations on the win. Can you talk about the feeling? You know, it's one thing to catch your first touchdown in the NFL. It's another thing to catch it full extension. Outside of being the last second, that's like the dream; right? I mean, how good did that feel?

GABRIEL DAVIS: It just felt real great. Blessed opportunity to go out there and make a play and I was able to do it.

Q. Can you describe the play from your point of view? What did you see, where did you go, that kind of thing?

GABRIEL DAVIS: I just knew the route I had. I knew I had an opportunity in this one play to be a guy that could get the ball, and I was lucky enough to see Josh roll out to my side and break away and make a play on the ball.

Q. Do you feel like this is a play that kind of changes your feel in the NFL in terms of where you are as a receiver? To make a big play, to make the game-changing play.

GABRIEL DAVIS: You know, I always felt like I was ready for those situations. So anything that ever came to me I felt like I was ready to do whatever I have to do in order to be successful. So it was a great chance, but nothing I don't expect of myself every single day.

Q. Thanks. I appreciate it. Congratulations.

GABRIEL DAVIS: Thank you.

Q. Gabriel, congratulations on the win. Big expectations for the Bills this year with so many guys, so many starters returning from a year ago, and yet we had three players who are new to the team score today in you, Reggie and Stefon. How important is it or how big is it to see the newer additions to the team stepping up and making a big difference here early in the season?

GABRIEL DAVIS: I just feel like everybody on the team knows their role and sticks to that role and does it to the best of their ability, and everybody on the team, whenever the opportunity is for them to make a play, they go out there and do it. I feel we have a lot of guys on the team that can do that, and it showed today.

Q. Can you tell me what the sense was on the sidelines, in the huddle after the Dolphins captured that late lead?

GABRIEL DAVIS: Oh, yeah, I mean, you know, it's football, you know. Sometimes you're going to be down and you have to go out there and compete every single play. And you know, we didn't lose anything on the field and we just kept going out there and executing the way we have since the game started.

Q. Did you know that was a catch in the back of the end zone? Do you have any doubt?

GABRIEL DAVIS: To be honest, I knew it was a catch, but, you know, with the NFL, I don't know it could change or something. So I kind of surprised myself a little bit with it because I know it was a great catch. It was full extension. It was just crazy I was able to pull it in and keep my hands under it. I was a little surprised by it, yeah.

Q. Thanks so much, man. Congratulations again.

GABRIEL DAVIS: Thank you.

Q. I've seen you make catches like that a lot at UCF, so I'm not surprised. I've seen you use your hands. You're great with your hand-eye coordination and how you use your fingertips to pull that in. Can you take me through how that play came about?

GABRIEL DAVIS: As soon as I seen that ball in there, I knew it was going to be a diving catch. And I just tried to dig for as long as I could. I tried to dig for as long as I could in order to get as close as I can because I know it was going to be a tough catch and I was able to catch it right at the last minute right before it hit the ground.

Q. And I noticed you're good at using your body to shield, because the catch you made earlier in the game you shielded your body away from the defender. Is that a technique that you learned along the way?

GABRIEL DAVIS: Oh, yeah, just trying to keep the defender away from the ball so I can get a great clean catch and I try to do it every single time. I try to have an awareness of where the football is at so I know what I have to do.

Q. And you've been working with Josh long enough that you're able to feel depending on the tempo of how he's throwing the ball, you're comfortable with the speed of his passes in order to make these receptions?

GABRIEL DAVIS: Oh, yeah. We've been working since the summer together. I spent a lot of time with him in the off season as soon as I got drafted. So the chemistry with me and just everybody on the team is great.

Q. Quick question. I know everyone is going to be talking about your touchdown catch. Just kind of what did you see, what was your reaction internally and what was just the reaction from your teammates after you made such a spectacular play?

GABRIEL DAVIS: Yeah. Like I said before, when I seen them scramble, I just knew it was going to be an opportunity to be in the back of the end zone and make a play and obviously that happened. The team just loved it. They embraced it as if they scored their own touchdown, and that's the type of team very have and that's why I'm so happy to be a part of it.

Q. I know when we talked to you after the draft you were excited to be in Buffalo because you felt like you were with a team that really wanted you. What does it feel like to show up for a team that you're very happy to be on and know you can produce for?

GABRIEL DAVIS: I love it. It's no better than playing for a team that you genuinely love to be on because of the people around you. And to make them proud and to work for them is the best. I feel like that's how all our guys feel.
