Dolphins 31, Giants 16.
Q. How are you feeling at this point?
DANIEL JONES: I feel fine. I think certainly in some pain. Physical game, so meet with the doctors and trainers and then go from there.
Q. What did you feel at the time of the hit?
DANIEL JONES: Just my neck. Yeah, neck is sore.
Q. Jumping on you or landing? What was the...
DANIEL JONES: Yeah, I mean, I have to go back and look at the play, but can just tell you my neck is sore.
Q. You had this before. Does it seem similar?
DANIEL JONES: Yeah, I mean, it's tough to say for sure. Dealt with -- certainly dealt with a similar issue. Like I said, I'll meet with the doctors and trainers and go from there.
Q. What did they tell you so far?
DANIEL JONES: I mean, not a whole lot. I think we'll know a lot more tomorrow.
Q. You've been hit -- sacked 16 times in the last two weeks; hit more than that. Does your body feel right now the toll of all that?
DANIEL JONES: Yeah, I mean, I think we played some physical games against physical defenses, and I think we're all -- yeah, we all probably feel it. That's football. That's part of the game.
Yeah, feeling fine.
Q. Daniel, do you think you have a fair chance to make plays back there at this point the way the protection is holding up?
DANIEL JONES: Yeah, for sure. I think I got to do a better job getting the ball out of my hands and taking advantage of the opportunities that are there.
Q. Do you think there are things schematically that can help you out. Dolphins have a bunch of injuries out front, getting the ball out to guys in space. Do you think there are things you guys can do schematically to help you?
DANIEL JONES: I think we had a good game plan and, you know, we got to execute it better. We're focused on us and we'll watch the film, see what we can clean up, and then go from there.
Q. How much are sacks and penalties killing this team right now?
DANIEL JONES: Yeah, I mean, we got to avoid hurting ourselves. I think that falls on all of us. Kind of all those things that are -- push us back and get us in longer yardage situations make it tough.
But it's on all of us to do it better, execute better, and we got to be more consistent.
Q. Will you get a scan tomorrow?
DANIEL JONES: Yeah.
Q. How concerned are you about that?
DANIEL JONES: Yeah, I mean, yeah, it's tough to say now. Just meet with the doctors and trainers and then go from there.
Q. Did you have any (indiscernible) already?
DANIEL JONES: Yeah, I had an x-ray.
Q. What did that say?
DANIEL JONES: We're still looking at it, but, yeah, I think we'll meet on it tomorrow and go from there.
Q. Considering what you went through in 2021, is this a particularly scary injury, the nature of this one?
DANIEL JONES: Like I said, I'm not going to get wrapped up in and that kind of stuff at this point. I think I'm going to see where we are tomorrow and go from there.
Q. How similar is it to that, though?
DANIEL JONES: Yeah, I mean, I think it's all -- they're all different. Know more tomorrow.
Q. How difficult is it to fathom that you're sitting here 1-4 after five games after the expectations coming into this?
DANIEL JONES: Yeah, I mean, we're -- yeah, we got a lot of the work to do. In a tough spot. But we got the guys to do it. Confident we can bounce back. We got put the work in, and it's about what we do on the field.
Q. How untenable is it for a quarterback to be talking so many hits? That's a lot of hits for one player to be taking.
DANIEL JONES: Yeah, I mean, it's part of playing the position. You're going to get hit in the NFL. There are good pass rushers on the other side, so got to look at what I can do to get the ball out of my hands and get the ball in space.
Q. (Indiscernible.)
DANIEL JONES: Yeah, I mean, I'll look at it, see if there was somewhere to get the ball out. Just try to get better work in.
Q. How much does the offense miss Saquon?
DANIEL JONES: Yeah, I mean, I think he's a big piece of what we do for sure, but I think Eric and Matt did a good job stepping in today. Played well for us.
Yeah, we'll -- I know Saquon a working hard to get back.
Q. What exactly happened (indiscernible.)
DANIEL JONES: Yeah, just my neck. My neck is sore. You know, some neck pain.
Q. Did you hit the ground? Just the way you kind of turned?
DANIEL JONES: Yeah, I'm not sure. I'll go back and watch the play. I can just tell that you neck is sore.
Q. Did you know it was like immediately once you hit the ground?
DANIEL JONES: Yeah, yeah.
