Tyreek Hill

Postgame Presser

Patriots 33, Dolphins 27

Q. How frustrating is a result like this when you had the opportunity right there?

TYREEK HILL: It's very frustrating, man, self-inflicted wounds. Obviously we're going to go back, watch the tape and correct it. For the most part, I feel like at the end of the game, those are the kind of situations that you want as an offense. It just comes down to operation and just knowing the situation.

We got caught with too many guys in the huddle, and as one of the leaders of this team, Tua, myself, Brew, we've got to be able to correct that amongst ourselves. We'll be better from it.

Q. Starting now 0-2, does it put more pressure on execution, or can it actually free you guys up to play looser?

TYREEK HILL: I feel like it's an opportunity, man. Pressure is opportunity. We've got the right guys in the building who come in every day with the right mindset who's looking to attack every day and get better. That's how we're going to approach it. The standard is the standard each and every day. Guys are blessed to be here with the Dolphins, and obviously we don't want to be 0-2, but we look at it as fuel to the fire.

We're going to continue to go at it each and every week.

Q. Last week you were only able to score eight points. Today you were able to move the ball to you and to Jaylen Waddle. What can you build on as you move forward to Buffalo from this game?

TYREEK HILL: We definitely can use this as momentum. Tua looked real good back there throwing the peel today, not only to myself but to Waddle and also Achane in the backfield. It was a good feel, I felt like, all the time.

Hopefully we can continue that momentum and go into the next week against Buffalo and just keep doing that same thing, keep attacking down the field because that's one of our biggest strengths. If we're able to run the ball and then also attack downfield, I feel like we are going to put up a lot of points.

Q. What do you think about going into Buffalo on a short week at 0-2?

TYREEK HILL: Oh, we're ready, man. We're ready. I feel like last week, the last time we played those guys, we lost by a field goal if I'm correct. It's on everybody's radar right now. We're ready.

Q. In a situation like this where you're 0-2 and you fall short, how do you keep the locker room together and not let this 0-2 become more than just that?

TYREEK HILL: Well, for me, man, I've been in situations like this, even when I played in Kansas City earlier in my career. One thing the leaders used to do when I was there is just communication, man, just keeping the morale up any way you can, because at the end of the day we all know that it's football, and it's still early in the season and things can change.

Like I said, we've got a great coaching staff. We've got a great organization here. We've got the right people in the building who comes to work every day looking to attack.

Q. Where does the confidence come from that, like you just said, things can change? Where does the belief come from that they will?

TYREEK HILL: It comes from our leaders, our captains, our leadership group. Then obviously myself, man. Guys who have experience in this league.

Like I said, man, I started 0-2 in this league before, and we ended up going on like an eight-game win streak. It doesn't matter, man.

It's all about how you approach it each and every day. I mean, right now, as soon as we get back to the meeting room, I'm telling the receivers that same exact story. It can be flipped around. It's all about how you approach it and how you attack every day, like which side do you want to be on, do you want to be on the good side of it or do you want to be on the bad side of it. How do you want to be remembered, also.

Q. You've returned punts before in your career. What did you see from Malik today, and how much of a charge did it give the sidelines when he did that?

TYREEK HILL: That was huge, man. That was very good, especially in that moment. Making a big play -- fifth-round draft pick, making a big play, turning the crowd up, and also I was like, hey, I really do not want to go away. He did his thing, man. He got us going. But unfortunately they returned it back themselves. It was kind of sad.

But I'm very proud of Malik. Like I said, man, I see flashes of myself in Malik every day, man. He comes in, works his tail off every day, doesn't complain, and he's eager to get better. He's going to continue to get better, too.
