Dolphins-30, Bills-13
Q. What's it like when you got a lead late, ball is coming to you, and you are able to just put it away twice really?
DE'VON ACHANE: It's good, man. I feel like this win, man, as a team, I feel like we played complementary football, all of us. Defense played an outstanding game.
Like I said, when we click on all cylinders and when we're able to, like, in the game, an offensive standpoint, that's the type of football they want to play. Like Tua said, we put in the work week in, week out, so this wasn't like no shock to us, because we always knew, okay, we all make these little mistakes and we stay ahead of the sticks and stay on schedule, we can put up points.
Q. 'Von, I know it's one game of 17, but I think this is your first time beating Buffalo. Does it feel any different?
DE'VON ACHANE: It's different. Like I said, since I came, I think I played them five, six times. Like six. Yeah, it will be my sixth time playing. This is my first win.
It's great. It feels special. Like I say, it just shows that the other times that we played them when it was close and when we did get a lot of was constant little things and us knowing we can get over this hump, and I feel like today that's what we did.
Q. To run the ball against them and effectively, you have -- today you guys ran the ball really effective. You have running periods --
DE'VON ACHANE: When you are running the ball good, man, you feel like don't go away from it. Like you said, they played a lot of -- when they was stacking the box and playing single high, that's when, okay, we see when what they're doing, and now we're going to 17. Like you said, when it's single high, that means he's one away. We like him against whoever we're playing.
Like you said, I feel like we complement each other, the pass game and the run game. I feel like when we are a balanced offense, I feel like we do whatever we want.
Q. There were a lot of reports that other teams tried to trade for you and Jaylen Waddle. Interim GM Champ Kelly decided not to trade you guys. How do you feel about that?
DE'VON ACHANE: I feel good. Like I said, I want to be here. Like I said, I went on record, this is where I want to be go something, and I was glad neither one of us was gone, so...
Q. Tua said about closing in when there's outside noise. Do you see him as a leader become kind of a bunker mentality, and doesn't matter what else is being said, doesn't matter what our record is, this week, this is what we have to do? Do you see Tua get to that kind of mode?
DE'VON ACHANE: Most definitely. No matter what's going on outside, he is QB1. We all have bad games, good games. He get a lot of noise, but I see him every day. He don't pay no attention to it. He come in every week like he's supposed to.
Q. What was your best run today as you saw it? Is it something you did or saw or reacted to?
DE'VON ACHANE: Probably my touchdown. Just making guys missing the hole. That was probably -- like the second win was pretty blocked up good, so I didn't have to do a lot, so probably the first one.
Q. What do you think is the potential for this team for this upcoming stretch given that you guys have put together two of your best performances in the last three games?
DE'VON ACHANE: We just got to keep moving forward, man. Just keep doing the same things and making sure that, like I said, we don't have those little critical mistakes that cost us games. Like I say, we played great on special teams, defense, offense. When we playing like that, don't matter who we're playing, I feel like we can win against anybody.
