Cardinals 23, Seahawks 13
Q. At what point did you know McCoy was starting today, and what was the plan against him?
JORDYN BROOKS: Kind of suspected it all week, you know? We knew that they had a bye week after this game, and so we thought maybe they wanted to hold Kyler back, so we were kind of prepared for both quarterbacks.
Q. What was he able to do well today, McCoy?
JORDYN BROOKS: He extended plays. He did a good job. You got to give him credit, and we've got to execute better on our part. He got out of pocket a couple of times and extended plays and made plays.
Q. How much of a missed opportunity does this feel like when you face a team without a starting quarterback, without its number one receiver?
JORDYN BROOKS: Yeah, it's a missed opportunity, for sure regardless who was playing quarterback. We lost. So every game is an opportunity to win, and we didn't do that.
Q. What is the answer to all the drop-offs and short passes in coverage -- (Indiscernible) --
JORDYN BROOKS: The short passes?
Q. Yeah, underneath coverage.
JORDYN BROOKS: We want to stay deep, and so make sure we don't give anything over the top and then rally to the short passes.
Q. What was Pete like after the game?
JORDYN BROOKS: Just like everybody else. Upset. Disappointed. As much talent that we have on this roster, it's kind of disappointing, so just like everybody else. Got to keep going, and I still think there's hope. I'm still optimistic.
Q. Jamal was just saying similar. What gives you belief that your turn is coming?
JORDYN BROOKS: We got too many guys. That's why, I mean, I'm upset, but I'm still hopeful because we've got too many guys. We got future Hall of Famers, All Pros, Pro Bowlers all across this roster. It's just a matter of time before we all put it together and go out there and get a win and get going.
Q. How do you personally feel like you've played today?
JORDYN BROOKS: I played good, and I had some plays I wish I could take back.
Q. (Indiscernible)?
JORDYN BROOKS: I felt like if I was in better position, I could have got my head around and made a great play and a couple of plays there in the trenches. We always talk about accountability, and I'm starting with myself. Watch the tape. Anything that I felt I let the team down on, I'm going to get it corrected.
Q. It was a tough when they reversed the Sidney interception there?
JORDYN BROOKS: That one hurt. I thought that was going to be a momentum change right there and get our offense right down there in position to score. We wished we could have had that one, but we didn't.
Q. We talked to you about the screen passes and recognizing those. How do you feel like you did in that aspect today?
JORDYN BROOKS: Me? Yeah, I thought I did good. I thought I saw it better today. It was just the emphasis this week. You know they're going to run screens, and Coach Kingsbury was my coach in college. I knew that one thing about him is he love running screens. I was on alert for it most of the game, and I thought I did a good job there.
