Uchenna Nwosu

Weekday Press Conference

UCHENNA NWOSU: What's up?

Q. How you doing?

UCHENNA NWOSU: All right, right.

Q. What challenge do you see Minnesota presenting for you guys this week?

UCHENNA NWOSU: Yeah, I think it speaks for itself number one with their record. They're a really, really good football team. You know, I feel like we're all chasing the same thing at this point. That's to go out and have success on every single Sunday.

So I think just across their front with their team, they have a really, really good O-line; obviously a quarterback that's been doing for a long time, and two really good running backs that can make the cuts and movements, and then the skill room is out of this world.

But I feel like there is a lot of challenges that they present up front, but I think we're ready and battle tested for this moment.

Q. Over the course of the season, you guys have added a little bit the defensive line. You get Chenna back. How has that depth helped you guys this season?

UCHENNA NWOSU: It's huge. It's huge, you know, just having guys back like Chenna and getting guys back fully healthy and being able to go out and play to the best of their ability, and having a room full of 18 guys who can start across the board.

It also presents challenges, but that's really a good room to have. The competition is there so we're going out and sharpening each other every single day to try to go and get those moments and take advantage of them on the field on Sundays.

Q. When you look to Sunday's game the start wasn't what you wanted. Got a lot better as it went on. What did you feel like were the issues early that you got corrected later?

UCHENNA NWOSU: I think just getting settled down, not making a moment too big and getting settled down. We did some stuff up front movement-wise. I think once we got that settled down and get the corrections in the second half we played a lot better ball.

Q. Mike talked after the game about the idea of the loss was bad obviously but everything is still in front of you.

UCHENNA NWOSU: Correct.

Q. How much is that motivating you guys, even with the loss you still control what happens from here?

UCHENNA NWOSU: I think that's huge. Just going through everything we been through, starting out hot and going cold and striking iron again. We been battled tested so we know what it takes. We have a really good football team coming here this weekend. Like you said, being able to still control your on destiny at this point in the year even with everything we went through is really, big for us.

I think the motivation is not even that, but just being able to go out and play again on another Sunday and be able to redeem yourself for what happened last week.
