T.J. Watt

Postgame Press Conference

Cleveland Browns 48, Pittsburgh Steelers 37

Q. You said all year you have a lot of it falls -- in the locker room, your teammates, coaches, can stuff like this shake that faith?

T.J. WATT: Not at all. I think it's all about execution. We had a game plan in place and we just have to carry it through.

Q. T.J., what was the conversation like in the locker room at halftime after being in that big did he have fit and starting to come back, but what adjustments did you make and what is that conversation?

T.J. WATT: Trying to get stops on defense and get points on offense it. Was pretty simple.

Q. When you're down 28-0 in the first quarter, how difficult, I know you want to come out and keep playing and make stops but how difficult is that to do that? I know you probably want to try to make plays at that point.

T.J. WATT: Yeah, we just knew we didn't want to press too hard to make those flash plays and we just wanted to be as gap sound as we possibly could throughout the game and we weren't able to do that.

Q. Obviously this could be the last game for a lot of your teammates and you won't see them or play with them again. Has that hit you or have you talked to them about that?

T.J. WATT: Just got off the field, man. Very disappointed with what I put out there on film, what our team put out there on film. We had a lot of high expectations for this group. We'll address all that other stuff as it comes up.

Q. T.J., how much is tonight to explain with not having Bud, Devin or Joe Haden available to you?

T.J. WATT: I can make excuses. That's not what we're about. We're all about the next-man-up mentality. Would have been awesome to have those guy with us, but we weren't able to have them with us the past few games. That's just life in the NFL. You can like I say, it all comes down to execution.

Q. This is the first game the defense failed to record a sack. What made Mayfield so tough to get to today?

T.J. WATT: Well, they didn't really -- sitting back, were able to stay in rhythm. Have to look back at the film, see what happened.

Q. I know you just got off the field, big picture, you have to take stock, 11-0, you still win 11 and win the division. How do you assess the season on the whole?

T.J. WATT: Going home right now, so it's not good enough.
