Visitors Postgame Press Conference

Pittsburgh - 20, Baltimore - 19

Q. Lamar, your thoughts after scoring the touchdown and then going for the two-point conversion?

LAMAR JACKSON: It was cool. I really didn't -- when I looked at the score, I saw it was 19-20. Perfect play call. We're going to make it happen. Just came up short.

Q. What happened on that, Lamar? It was tough for us to see. It was quick. Was your throw a little wide? Did you expect him to keep running? How did you guys not execute on that one?

LAMAR JACKSON: Just didn't execute. Just didn't execute. We was on the same page. Just a little mishap.

Q. Did you like that play call?

LAMAR JACKSON: I was cool with it.

Q. Did you like the decision to go for two?

LAMAR JACKSON: Yeah, it was cool. I want to win.

Q. Lamar, if I remember, on the two-point conversion, there was some pressure. How much did that pressure affect your ability to throw or adjust the throw?

LAMAR JACKSON: Throw it right to him, I just put it on his chest. I couldn't do that just because T.J. Watt got range. He's a long guy. I had to throw around him and try to make something happen. That's all. Just came up short.

Q. How frustrating has it been these last few weeks? You guys have moved the ball really well. You had a 99-yard drive, scored the touchdown at the end. You're just not finishing these drives like you're accustomed to in the past.

LAMAR JACKSON: We put so much time out there on the field. Like you said, we're driving the ball down the field, converting third downs, long third downs. It's not no third and short and stuff like that. We're just not finishing. It's like one play away, and there's always something down there in the red zone. We've got to figure it out when we're down there, and I feel we'll be fine.

Q. Lamar, the last few games, you've been sacked a lot. How much were you bothered today by pressure in the pocket? Some of it, are you holding it too long? Just what's going on with that? Seven sacks is a lot.

LAMAR JACKSON: For sure it is. You know, T.J. Watt, he's a great defender, great rusher, man. He was doing his thing out there tonight. We've just got to get in the lab and find ways to make things happen and keep our jobs going and try not to have sacks. Try to have positive plays each and every play. That's all.

Q. Take us through what happened on that first quarter pick you threw.

LAMAR JACKSON: I was hot. That's my guy dropping back. I wish I'd had more power behind it to throw the ball behind Minkah's head so Mark could make a play on it. Hopefully would have got three out of that, but it just got turned over.

Q. Trying to give it to Mark back in the end zone?

LAMAR JACKSON: For sure.

Q. Is there anything the Steelers were doing with their edge rushers or with Watt that was surprising or different?

LAMAR JACKSON: Watt was doing his thing. That's what he do, just one-on-one and making things happen, I guess.

Q. How confident are you that you guys are going to get rolling offensively the way that you guys know that you can?

LAMAR JACKSON: I'm very confident. You saw on the last drive we were rolling. We hit passes, guys running routes and doing what they do, catching the ball and getting YAC. We just do that consistent, and we'll be fine. We just got to do it early and keep it going, finish the whole game like that. Not just doing one half and slowing down.

Q. You're obviously, you love to compete and make plays. Are there times, though, where sometimes part of your maturation as a quarterback is going to be maybe throwing the ball away a little sooner and living to play another day?

LAMAR JACKSON: Sometimes you can't. Sometimes the guy's behind you, try to throw the ball away, and there's going to be a strip sack, stuff like that.

Q. When Coach Harbaugh decided to go for two at the very end, did he say anything to you? Did he ask you? Did he tell you?

LAMAR JACKSON: I was in the moment. We just scored. We go to the sideline and said we're going for two, and I was like all right. I was cool with it.

Q. You didn't think to ask, are you sure?

LAMAR JACKSON: No. I want to win. I didn't want to go to overtime anyways.

Q. Did you have multiple options on that play, or was that your one play?

LAMAR JACKSON: Well, he was open at the time. There was other guys, but they weren't open.

Q. How much did Watt disrupt you on that throw?

LAMAR JACKSON: Which one?

Q. The last one.

LAMAR JACKSON: He way taller than me, way wider. I just had to make something happen. That's it.
