Q. You guys were able to run the ball early, hit some deep pass plays, able to move the ball but still only one touchdown and 10 points. What's happened?
MITCH TRUBISKY: Just sloppiness, lack of execution when we got down in the red zone. Shot ourselves in the foot a lot today. So we just got down there. We had some good plays. But the negative plays really killed us, the penalties, the formation mess-up, not having the right personnel in there.
Just overall sloppy today. And we hurt ourselves. And they played better than we did today. So we are on a short week. Quick turnaround, have to flush it, be more detailed this next week.
Q. Any positives you can cull from it at all?
MITCH TRUBISKY: Probably that one scoring drive, we went down, we finished down in the red zone -- guys not giving up towards the end. So when it gets sloppy like that, everyone gets together, put a drive together, put some points on.
So you look at that drive, you try to take away some positives. But for me, it's simple; we've got to clean up the non-talent issues -- getting lined up, the penalties and just 11 guys playing as one.
Q. What happened on the fumble there, the low snap?
MITCH TRUBISKY: I got to get on top of that. It was a low snap, but unfortunately there was a screen called so we were trying to get the linemen out, so the guy was able to hit me before I was able to pick it up.
Just an unfortunate situation. I've got to find a way to get on the ball so it's not a negative play in the game.
Q. Second run, obviously (inaudible), but the red zone things have been cropping up. Anything you can see that's maybe a consistent problem or an issue there?
MITCH TRUBISKY: Just lack of execution. Lack of detail. I don't know what it is. I feel like we had a pretty good plan going into the red zone this week. We just didn't find a way.
Whether it's them making plays and us not, there's no excuse. We've got to find a way to score points somehow. Just gotta maneuver points and just focus when we get down in the red zone. We moved the ball today. But it doesn't matter when you shoot yourself in the foot and go backwards on plays you shouldn't.
Q. How did the delay affect you guys at all?
MITCH TRUBISKY: I actually thought we stayed pretty focussed throughout. We obviously didn't execute enough in the second half to give ourselves a shot in the fourth. Guys were locked in the locker room. We were going over plays that we wanted to run in the second half. But it's just one of those adversity things you have to deal with and try to overcome.
Q. Do you feel like you guys took them lightly because of their record?
MITCH TRUBISKY: No, I don't think so. This is the NFL. You know anybody can beat anybody. If you don't bring your best stuff. And if you didn't know that, you learned it today.
So I feel like the guys were focused and locked in throughout the week. Why the penalties and shooting ourselves in the foot happened today, I don't have an answer. But we've just got to fix it going into this next week. I don't think we took them lightly. We know they're a good football team. Better than their record. And that goes for everybody in the NFL. And so it's just one of those things; you've just got to come out and be better on that day.
