Buccaneers - 17, Steelers - 14

Q. (Indiscernible) couple touchdown passes. How were you able to do it, and how do you feel about that?

TEDDY BRIDGEWATER: It started with Gris (phonetic). We met last night and this morning, just talked about some of the players that I was comfortable with, that I've run when we were together in Miami or the past couple of teams I've been on.

And that was the focus for me to just be able to jot down a couple of plays that I was comfortable with, go out there and execute, try to execute at a high level, and just get the ball to the guys and let them make plays. We have so many playmakers in that locker room, and you saw tonight, get the ball to those guys in space and make the rest happen.

Q. Todd wouldn't say whether there's a battle for the backup spot. What are your expectations and where are you hoping to have happen heading into the season?

TEDDY BRIDGEWATER: I'm just here to help this team in every way possible. I've been a humble servant throughout my career, playing and coaching. So however I can help this team, that's my focus.

Q. Has your perspective changed after last year, after reflection?

TEDDY BRIDGEWATER: No, not at all. Still got the same perspective on life, on football, on everything. So I'm happy I'm here in Tampa right now though. I want to give a shout out to my boys at Miami Northwestern. We beat Lakeland tonight. Shout out to them.

Q. What did you think of -- you've had some time to work with Emeka, he makes a nice catch, (indiscernible) what did you think of what he's done so far?

TEDDY BRIDGEWATER: Honestly, I probably only threw one pass to Emeka since I've been here. I've been at the back of the line when it came to throwing routes and stuff to the guys.

But earlier in the drive, it might have been a previous drive they played man coverage and we ran a similar concept, and I was telling Thad, I was like, man, I can throw this corner route but I haven't thrown a corner route to these guys, so I don't know the timing and the body language and everything like that.

So missed that opportunity, but I saw an opportunity come up again for playing man coverage. It's like, you know what, I'm just going to cut it, throw it to a spot, and he did -- Emeka did a great job winning versus the leverage he had and going to the ground and making a tough catch.
