Quick Quotes

Q. Third time here. What kind of experience from those experiences last two years can you build on and prep you for this week?

ZOE ANTOINETTE CAMPOS: Yeah, I mean, playing last two years I was here I think this course is really -- it requires a lot of strategy and you have to know where to hit the ball; you have to know where to miss.

Today it was kind of just a refresher of that, yeah.

Q. Champions Retreat specifically the next two days, what are you looking to do to play well?

ZOE ANTOINETTE CAMPOS: I mean, just stick to my game plan and just be confident out there; stay steady and patient. I think that's just what's most important out here.

Q. What does it mean to you to be playing in your third Augusta National Women's Amateur?

ZOE ANTOINETTE CAMPOS: It's great. It's a great opportunity to be here again, and I'm just excited for the week.

Q. Family here this week?

ZOE ANTOINETTE CAMPOS: Yep, parents.

Q. What does it mean to you to have their support?

ZOE ANTOINETTE CAMPOS: It means a lot. I love them both and just having them here, it's always great. I just love having them by my side just walking down the fairway.

Q. Any advice from mom and dad before tomorrow?

ZOE ANTOINETTE CAMPOS: They just said good luck and we'll see.

Q. You've won a few times this year already. What kind of strides have you been seeing in your game?

ZOE ANTOINETTE CAMPOS: I think confidence is a really big factor. Just the last two years I've really built on that and just playing well, and then learning from my freshman year, I guess, too. I struggled a lot then.

So just growing from that mentally and physically.

Q. What would you say was maybe your biggest takeaway from your freshman year?

ZOE ANTOINETTE CAMPOS: That you just have to accept and just know that you're going to have bad days, bad years, bad months. I think it's just really important to know that there is a lot of outcomes out there, and you just have to take what it is and move forward.

Q. Is there a sense of gratitude being here for your third time?

ZOE ANTOINETTE CAMPOS: I mean, I'm just super excited to be here again. I think it's just always special to be here and just participate in this event. I mean, it's so special. You're playing with the best in the world and it's great to learn from that and play with them, too.

Q. What's the big development you've seen in your game since you got to UCLA?

ZOE ANTOINETTE CAMPOS: I would say my putting has definitely improved. I think I was a really aggressive putter coming in. But now I think I've really worked on my speed and that's really helped me make a lot of putts.

And then just I think being on the road a lot has just really helped, and just continuing like to play and get that more experience.

Q. You played in the inaugural Augusta National Women's Amateur. How has this tournament grown in your eyes over the last five years?

ZOE ANTOINETTE CAMPOS: I mean, I think it's definitely like amplified women in sports. I think that's really important for us.

I think we haven't really gotten much attention before, and the inaugural one really amplified that. Just having it continue has really made that really important.
