Q. Considering the conditions today, describe how happy or where you were are your round today.
MIRABEL TING: It started pretty well for me on the front nine. Wind picked up a little on the back, and having to miscalculated distances, hit some couple poor shots.
But overall, it was pretty good. I feel like I played really well today.
Q. You're pretty straight with almost every club in your bag. How many fairways did you miss out there today?
MIRABEL TING: I don't think I missed one today.
Q. What about yesterday?
MIRABEL TING: I missed one yesterday, but I think there will be couple of them that I missed today but I'm not too sure because I haven't looked in my stats yet.
Q. You can't recall?
MIRABEL TING: No.
Q. How important is it to play from the short grass coming in with some of the these greens with the wind?
MIRABEL TING: The greens are more firmer today than yesterday. I feel like being on the fairway has more spin on the ball instead of being in the rough, take off a lot of spin.
So I mean, the greens are like firm so the ball is kind of like impossible to stop. With this wind it's tough.
Q. You have a local caddie?
MIRABEL TING: Yes.
Q. How is he helping you the most out there?
MIRABEL TING: I feel like he understand me, just like in a very short period of time. We work our distances together pretty well. He reads the line really good as well.
So kind of worked out really well for the both of us.
Q. Were you trying to play conservative today with the conditions? Is that hard for you?
MIRABEL TING: At first I was trying to go for it because the wind have not picked up yet.
Until the very -- I think the last couple -- the last nine, then I just couldn't go aggressive with the wind being like that. And the pin was like tucked really at the side of the -- behind the bunker, like whatever it is.
So it's really, really tough to get on the green near to the pin, so I would say my back nine was like conservative, yeah.
Q. How has Florida State helped you the most since you've been there?
MIRABEL TING: Course management definitely. Short game a little. But long games has always been there.
Q. What was wrong with your course management before? How would you describe it?
MIRABEL TING: I was a little too aggressive most of the time, and for me to be on the fairway every day, it's an issue as well. So once I hook a shot or slice a shot I don't know what to do, so that definitely helped me a lot in Florida State.
Q. What have you learned about yourself these past few months?
MIRABEL TING: A lot. Learned a lot from coaches, teammates.
Q. Do you have more confidence in your ability?
MIRABEL TING: Yeah, just trying to know who I am and like just live day by day.
Q. Augusta National right around the course. How excited are you?
MIRABEL TING: Really excited to be back there again. It's paradise, so I want to get out there and live the moment.
Q. What do you remember from the first time you played when you were at Augusta?
MIRABEL TING: I remember I played pretty badly.
Q. Like how badly?
MIRABEL TING: It was bad.
Q. Did you keep score bad?
MIRABEL TING: I did. I do not want to say the score.
Q. What was difficult about it?
MIRABEL TING: Around the greens definitely.
Q. Did you have a four-putt?
MIRABEL TING: I think I had a five, yeah.
Q. So do you feel like a different player now going back there with your short game and what you can do?
MIRABEL TING: Yeah, definitely. Mental-wise as well. More stable going into Augusta National and the next few days.
Q. What is your favorite thing to do with your teammates when you're traveling to tournaments outside of the golf course?
MIRABEL TING: Hang around. We do talk a lot around the team, and off the golf course sometimes we still talk about golf, but sometimes we don't.
But the girls are amazing, so we can just talk whatever we want.
Q. If you're not talking about golf, you talk about music, school?
MIRABEL TING: We talk about school, movies. Just sometimes just random stuff. Yeah.
Q. What's where you favorite movie?
MIRABEL TING: I actually don't have one.
Q. Have you seen Encanto?
MIRABEL TING: No.
Q. The main character is called Mirabel is why I'm asking.
