Q. Just to get it going, how cool of an experience was this for you today, and how excited are you to get to play on this course tomorrow?
MIRABEL TING: Definitely nervous but excited to be back here playing this golf course. I only played once last year because I came to school in Augusta.
To get to play back again today and to get to play again tomorrow is going to make it much more special, I guess.
Q. You mentioned your time at AU. How is it for you to be back here? You know how crazy and how much people love golf here. What is it like for you being back here?
MIRABEL TING: Tough question. It brings a lot of memories back, definitely. Because I remember my first time here was stepping on the back here, and we'd play. Then to be able to come back again today is definitely having those kind of memories back before and bring it to today and tomorrow's round.
Q. What are some of the things in your past experiences that you feel like can really help you out here tomorrow?
MIRABEL TING: I feel like I know that the greens -- around the greens and the greens here are tough. Off the tee you've got to know where to put the ball, and the fairways are firm, and they're not soft. So it's kind of hard to dig down to hit the ball.
Q. How long have you dreamed about playing on this course?
MIRABEL TING: Since I was a kid.
Q. So now you know these dreams are coming to fruition and you're here on this awesome stage with this amazing group of talent around you competing. How special is this opportunity in general, and for yourself, having an opportunity to be out here?
MIRABEL TING: Very special. To be able to come out here is already very special to myself, but especially -- my dad's not here, and especially for him to see from above, to see that I'm here today, I think is really special for the both of us. Like knowing that he's going to watch over and he's going to always be here when I play this golf course.
