Q. You had a practice round to kind of get to know the course a little bit anyway. Were there any nerves on the 1st tee box?
LAUREN KIM: Not really. I usually just take that adrenaline and just block everything out. I'm pretty good with doing that, I guess.
For the nerves, I didn't really have that many, to be honest.
Q. What was the biggest thing you used the practice round yesterday to work on going into today?
LAUREN KIM: I'd say reading the putts, and I guess short game. You've got to make your up-and-downs if you miss the green. It's not easy to hit every single one out here.
I think another important thing was placing the ball on the course. I have to manage that. I can't just put myself in a bunker and be short-sided. I've got to put it in the right side. I think that was key heading into today.
Q. Was there a determination to maybe be not as aggressive on some holes?
LAUREN KIM: Yeah, I know that the scores can bite if you be too aggressive in some areas. I just -- I don't know. I wanted to shoot a low number out there. It's pretty gettable today, in my opinion. I think I had the right amount of aggressiveness today.
