Emma McMyler

Quick Quotes

Q. How was it out there today? You had a couple birdies earlier and kind of got rolling, then kind of had a couple bogeys going in, but a nice birdie to finish up.

EMMA McMYLER: I played well all day. I played pretty solid. I had a rough stretch there in the middle, but I was able to bounce back and make a birdie on the last hole, so kind of grinded it out.

But it was playing tough, but I'm proud of how I fought.

Q. What was different out there today?

EMMA McMYLER: Yeah, just wasn't quite as solid as I was today. Hit a couple of straight iron shots, a couple good ones that just didn't end up where I thought they would.

Overall, proud of how I fought. It was a good week and hope that it's enough.

Q. On 18, did you know where you were at? Did you know you needed a birdie there to get you to 1-under? What was your approach there?

EMMA McMYLER: I didn't know where I was at on the leaderboard or anything like that. Didn't look at the leaderboard coming in. I just knew that, if I make a birdie, I'll give myself a good chance. So hit a good chip, and I was able to make the putt.

Q. Talk about that second shot in. What did you use there, and what kind of distance were you?

EMMA McMYLER: I don't remember the exact distance. I think it was like 240 or 250, something around there. I hit a 3-wood. I was just trying to get it up there as close as I could to the front of the green. Hit a good one and got a good bounce, and I was able to hit a solid chip.

Q. You're hoping the number works out. What would it mean to you to be able to play on Saturday?

EMMA McMYLER: Yeah, it would be awesome. This is what you work for. This is what you dream of. Hopefully that 1-under is enough, but we'll just wait around and see.
