Q. Take us through this week compared to the two previous Masters, how it went, and how difficult it was for you.
STEWART HAGESTAD: Yeah, I think two things can be true at the same time. One, you can be super bummed and a lot of your memories are directly correlated to how you played and playing the weekend, and you can also say that it's the Masters, and it's something you look forward to the whole year and then it's obviously a goal that you set for yourself for your entire life. It's a lot of memories and neat things to kind of reminisce on that you can remember forever.
I'm bummed, but life goes on, and it's all good.
Q. Talking about life goes on, you are in kind of a unique position of I don't know any other amateurs who has played six majors --
STEWART HAGESTAD: Seven, but who's counting.
Q. -- and who wants to stay an amateur. You don't have contemporary references. Do you go look and look at other amateurs that did what you did?
STEWART HAGESTAD: I think anyone that knows me knows the answer is yes, but I'm not really thinking about that right now. All we were trying to do was play great, and I'm bummed and we'll get over it, but we'll have a cocktail or two or three and we'll go to bed, and life goes on. It's all good.
Q. Is there anything you can think back to in your preparation for this week that could have --
STEWART HAGESTAD: No.
Q. -- prepared you for the conditions?
STEWART HAGESTAD: No. I mean, I moved to Florida, so by definition, that should have been really good. I guess I could have gone out when it was blowing 40 on the Wednesday when I elected to hit balls on a simulator, but if you're looking at things like that, like no, it's hard. It played hard. It's a major championship.
Obviously if it's an Am or a Mid-Am, shoot, if it's a Mid-Am, who knows what the cut would have been, but these are the best players in the world. Just look at what Tiger is doing right now. The guy has barely played at all in the last calendar year, and he's 1-over. That's alien stuff. That's unbelievable.
Again, bummed, but it's all good.
