Q. How fast did the wind get?
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: I don't know if I've seen it like this. We had a few years where it's blown, but this is as difficult as I've ever played it.
Q. José María said out of 1 to 10, it was an 11. Is that a fair assessment?
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: I think maybe a 12.
Q. Can you talk about coming in, did you feel prepared? How did you feel coming into this week?
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: I felt great, to be honest. Body is moving so well. I feel healthy, swinging the club well. But get on the wrong side of this golf course in conditions like this, it's --
Q. Did you have to come back this morning?
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: No.
Q. So you were lucky in that way?
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: I was lucky. Yesterday I double bogeyed the 2nd hole but played good from there, but today was just tough, very tough.
Q. Were there any impossible shots? In terms of conditions -- combination of wind and pin position and firmness.
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: I thought I had 81 impossible shots today.
Q. Is this golf course in particular, among all golf courses of championship golf, the hardest thing when it's really windy?
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: By far. This golf course is hard on -- especially being firm. So on a good day with a normal day, 15 mile an hour wind, with the way it's playing at this firmness, it's a fantastic test. It's tough.
You then get on the wrong side, and you're thinking, wow, this is difficult. Then you add this wind to it, and it becomes borderline almost unplayable.
Q. Were you close to thinking the ball was moving on the greens?
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: Well, Christo had maybe six times where his ball moved, at least six times, where he had to replace it. It's unfortunate, for a guy like that, first time around here, he got thrown in the deep end.
Q. Do you think Bryson has any extra pressure on him just feeling like maybe he's playing for your guys' league a little bit?
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: Maybe, but he's just trying to win a green jacket in very difficult conditions. It's tough as it is.
Q. Is there anything they could have done with this setup to mitigate the wind
CHARL SCHWARTZEL: I don't think so. Could have slowed the greens down to 8 on the Stimp, put the flag in the middle, watered them up a little bit (laughter).
