Q. I know it wasn't the finish you envisioned, but you had it going for a little bit today. How would you describe the whole week and the experience?
JAKE KNAPP: I mean, those first two days were brutal. It was a great experience, obviously. I think it's a golf course I'm very comfortable on. Just unfortunately didn't play very well.
Feel like I learned a lot and I can take a lot away from this week going into not only the rest of the year but then also hopefully coming back next year.
Q. You finished at 6-over yesterday, but at the time the cut looked like it was going to be 3-over. Did you think you had any chance?
JAKE KNAPP: Not really. We kind of thought maybe in some way because we knew how difficult it was playing, but I cleared out my locker and figured I wouldn't be coming back. Then yeah, it was just crazy. Obviously if you played in the morning, it wasn't as bad. Like some guys were able to go for No. 15 or something like that. That wasn't even a thought for 90 percent of the field I feel like in the afternoon.
We just knew it was playing difficult and anything could happen from there.
Q. So you hung out at the hotel, checked the scores --
JAKE KNAPP: Yeah.
Q. I think you got in when Hideki made a double.
JAKE KNAPP: Yeah, exactly. We weren't able to watch everything. We were just kind of watching what guys were doing on 15, 16 and we saw obviously JT and Wyndham and then when Rahm started making some birdies, we're like, okay, probably not, then the Hideki deal happened, and it was like, well, it's not going to get any easier. Birdies aren't exactly easy to come by out there. Yeah, it was definitely still a surprise for sure.
Q. There was some chance -- you were right next to Tiger on the leaderboard. Were you aware of that possibility?
JAKE KNAPP: For sure, yeah. We knew we needed one more guy to drop down to 12 somehow or something like that which would have been pretty cool. But yeah, Grayson and I are good friends, so still a fun day today.
