Q. Bogey-free 3-under. Doesn't get much better than that on a Masters Sunday, does it?
TOMMY FLEETWOOD: It was a nice round of golf. Of course to get into any kind of serious contention, I guess I needed a much lower one and I needed a few more fireworks. But the golf course isn't giving much away.
I think overall throughout the week, I made so few bogeys -- I had a bogey-free round today, which is amazing, and I made so few bogeys throughout the week, considering the conditions, which is such a positive, and I did so many good things. I think I look back on it and scorable holes probably cost me. I didn't really birdie the par-5s that much, so I'll sort of look back on that and think I could have done better there.
But overall I had a beautiful day today. I really enjoyed being out there. It's Masters Sunday, and I had a bogey-free round, so there's not much to complain about.
Q. Was it a case of staying in there instead of trying to attack --
TOMMY FLEETWOOD: Honestly, the way the golf course played, especially this week, as hard as it is to do, if you hit a great golf shot and it came off and you hit your spot, great, but as soon as you start to force anything, there was just mistakes looming, and it was playing so firm and fast, and even towards the end I was -- putts on 17 and 18 that you'd love to just have a run at, and it's just so burnt and crispy and you're just trying to roll it up, and hopefully it goes in, and you've just got to play the course properly.
I feel like I did that. I would have loved to have got a really hot round going, but it wasn't to be, but there were so many good things, and I've had such a great week.
Q. It's going to be your best finish here. Do you feel like you're working out more the more and more you play?
TOMMY FLEETWOOD: I think so. I think I've been close before. I think I've had some good rounds, and I've definitely -- there's two or three years where I've been close to a good performance, and it hasn't quite happened. I think a few times, back nine on Sunday, I haven't played as well as I would have liked to, and very aware of that today. I played it really, really well.
You know, eighth time at the Masters, and this is my first top 10. Hopefully it'll be a top 5 and that'll be a fantastic week.
You just keep playing. You never know what's around the corner. But yeah, I loved it this week. It was great being out late on the Sunday and playing a good round of golf, and just another major championship where you're at the right end of the leaderboard at the end of the week. Who knows if my time will ever come, but all I can do is keep trying to put myself there and keep having performances like this, and then we'll see.
Q. This week continues a decent bit of form. Do you feel like you're getting into a bit of a roll now?
TOMMY FLEETWOOD: Yeah, the last two weeks have been good. I think after struggling in Florida, I think we did really good work, myself and TaylorMade, Adrian with the driver, which I wanted to fix, and we've got a great driver that will take me through the year definitely, and I think I've worked on the right things on my swing.
Yeah, we're definitely heading in the right direction. Like I said, I was very disappointed with how I was playing in Florida and I got into a couple of bad habits, worked on them, and the last two weeks have been great. You obviously never know with golf, but it's a great time of year. Major season is coming up, and there's still so much golf to be played. Keep doing the right things and have good performances, and we'll see what the year brings.
Q. Your standing caddie got a bit emotional at the back of 18 there --
TOMMY FLEETWOOD: We had a great week. I've known Greg since I first came to Augusta and I asked him to caddie this week. Yeah, it was always going to be a fantastic weekend when we made it through to the weekend together. It's been absolutely amazing, and I've loved spending time with him on the golf course this week. I always enjoy seeing him and spending time with him at Augusta every time the Masters comes around, but actually being out with him was a real treat. I just hope he's had as good a time as I have, with me as I have with him this week. It's been great.
