Q. When we spoke a couple weeks ago, we discussed these little bad boys.
VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah.
Q. Has Chase secured Gnomes for all the family and friends yet?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: He's off duty this week. The family had to stand in line themselves, so that was good for them.
Q. Have they managed to get their Gnomes?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: I think so. I think so. The week is still not over yet though.
Q. Where is the Viktor Hovland game? On a scale of one to ten, how happy are you?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: I think the scaling stuff is a bit silly. We're trending and that's kind of the most important thing for me. It's been a lot of kind of one step forward, two steps back, one step forward, another step forward, and just a bunch of back and forth.
But I do feel confident that we're working on the right stuff, and I kind of have already seen some results in to practice. Now, this place out here will make you feel uncomfortable and it's hard to get the best out of your game when you've been working through some stuff, but it's cool to see that I'm able to step up on some of these tee shots and hit some of the drivers that I've been doing.
So we're trending for sure.
Q. You have contended around here in the past. They said there is no substitute for experience at the Masters. Do you feel as if you know Augusta National, you're fully to grips with it, or are you still learning tidbits all the time?
VIKTOR HOVLAND: Yeah. You always pick up on some stuff. If the conditions are a little bit different, you know, some of the shots changes along with that.
I do feel like I've gotten a lot better around the greens out here. I know where to miss it. If I have a certain shot I'm not too terrified of it. I feel confident that I'm going to be able to pull the shot off. So that's a big one for me.
So if I can continue to trust that and just hit some of those -- yeah, get comfortable with the fuller shots I feel quite good.
