Jason Day

Quick Quotes

Q. How much of a breath is this for you to relax and enjoy prior to the Masters?

JASON DAY: It's good. It's a good change because we don't get this in the majors and obviously the players as well. Typically everyone is kind of making their last-minute adjustments on a Wednesday. And we're out here with our families enjoying it, which is great. I've signed up with Bubba for many, many years playing the par-3. So we've got a really good friendship. We used to obviously bus together when he was on the Tour.

Yeah, no. I mean, all the patrons come out and enjoy themselves, and it's just a fun event.

Q. Get serious tomorrow. Fans are excited. The Masters starting tomorrow. Do you have that same excitement and if so, how do you manage those emotions?

JASON DAY: Like you say, today is a really nice today to kind of just relax before everything gets really serious tomorrow. Once tomorrow starts it's not like your typical TOUR event where Thursday, Friday, everyone kind of talks. As soon as it happens everyone is kind of focused in, and there's not much chatter.

This is obviously our first major of the year and everyone is trying to win either their first major or trying to win another one. So things are serious tomorrow, and all the prep and all the stuff that you've been working on from the start of the year till now, it's finally here. So you gotta get ready.

Q. How are your preparations?

JASON DAY: Good. Yeah. I got here last Friday, and obviously I've been kind of monitoring my game over the last couple months, two, three months and just seeing where things are.

The preparation is good. I came in heavy on my preparation and just slowly tapered off. And I feel energized and ready to go tomorrow.

Q. Because it's a fast, firm golf course or it looks to be this week, have you altered anything in your setup as far as equipment?

JASON DAY: No. I haven't altered a lot. I've altered the top side of my bag. So I've got a driver, 3-wood, 5-wood and a 7-wood. Sometimes I feel like you need it, especially with the added length.

I was playing a practice round with Johnny Keefer, and I was just running through the back nine with him, and some of the irons that we used to hit into the par-5s. And 13 is a great change. 15 is obviously longer.

You know, you kind of need a better gap at the top end for some of these holes around Augusta National. So nothing too dramatic, but just the top end.
