Jon Rahm

Quick Quotes

Q. Jon, when you have a day like yesterday, how do you sorted of put it behind you?

JON RAHM: Because you have to. Try to see what you did wrong and what you can do better today. You have an idea how the golf course is going to play, and try to do the best you can.

Q. Saw you working through some things on the range last night. Do you think you were mentally able to figure something out?

JON RAHM: I know what I was doing wrong. Just couldn't get it done on the course. It's not like there is a shot on the back nine where you can be relaxed enough to try something new.

Yeah, I mean, just I actually did towards the end. Starting on 14 through 18 I played really good. Hit good shots, gave myself chances, besides the second shot on 17. I had a few good looks for possibly birdies. Just wasn't the easiest. I think towards the end I figured it out.

I think those 20 balls I hit on the range were more frustration release than anything else.

Q. When you have a tournament like the Masters that it's been eight months since you played at a major, it's the same for everybody, but how hard is it to sort of have that buildup be so important and then like come out and for whatever reason your swing isn't quite where you want it?

JON RAHM: Yeah, I don't know. Just one of the things where it's golf. I felt really good all year besides yesterday. Actually felt pretty good today as well.

Yesterday was just an anomaly where everything that could go wrong went wrong.

Not that I shot myself out of the tournament but I'm going to need an absolute miracle starting today, and didn't quite do enough.

I'm going to need a heck of a round tomorrow to give myself a chance and even then, might be a little too far away.

Q. What's the adjustments coming from LIV events to the Masters? What's that adjustment like?

JON RAHM: None. Golf is golf.

Q. How does it prepare you for this event?

JON RAHM: Same as any other golf tournament in the world, yeah.
