THE MODERATOR: Questions.

Q. Halfway through the season, what signs are you seeing that you can get back to being the offense that you have been the last few years?

PATRICK MAHOMES: I think you can see it in spurts. You look at the first drive, the 90-yard drive that we had, you can see that we can do it. It's just about being consistent every single drive.

Obviously penalties, me not connecting on guys deep down the field hurt us. Luckily for us, our defense is playing their tail off and we got the win.

Q. (No microphone.)

PATRICK MAHOMES: Yeah, no, that was sweet. I mean, obviously huge play in the game. The way they're able to not only make the big hits, strip the ball, I think it was Mike that picked it up, pitched it to Cook. Cook was rolling man, anchorman of a four-by-one in track. Got the knees up, was rolling down the field.

Huge play that mattered a ton at the end of the game.

Q. (No microphone.)

PATRICK MAHOMES: Yeah, I mean, for sure. The fact that they're so good at all three levels, they're deep. Guys rotate in. They can play. It's hard to get everybody snaps, that's how good they are.

It's got to be the top defense in the NFL. That's a great offense. To hold them to 14 points where I fumbled in our own area for seven of those points, that's a tremendous job. I think they're going to continue to get better because they're young and they love it.

Q. Did you see that coming back in training camp?

PATRICK MAHOMES: I knew they were going to be good. You look at the end of last year, they played great football and no one really noticed. I knew they were going to be good. They brought back so many people, so many young guys, they were going to develop.

I mean, the fact they're all developing this fast, I don't know if anyone could have guessed it. I knew they were going to be great as their careers went on. Good to have a lot of young guys that can play like that.

Q. (Question about the atmosphere.)

PATRICK MAHOMES: Yeah, it was an amazing experience to be out here in Germany. You could see red all around the town. Chiefs Kingdom showed up. You could feel the love they had not only for the game of football but for the players. You could tell they watched and they knew what they were talking about.

I was excited to be here, even more excited hopefully I get to get back at some point.

Q. Did you engage with some fans?

PATRICK MAHOMES: Just high fives and stuff like that. Like I said, I want to get back. I work with a lot of people that are in Germany. I want to get back out here and see Chiefs Kingdom out here.

Q. What was your impression today of playing in Germany, the fans?

PATRICK MAHOMES: The German fans, they were loud the entire game. They were passionate. You could tell that they watch football, American football, on the daily. They really understand it. It was great for the NFL to give us this opportunity. I'm sure there will be many more as my career goes on. I'm excited to get back and be able to play, not only Frankfurt, Munich, but wherever the NFL goes.

Q. (No microphone.)

PATRICK MAHOMES: Yeah, no, he's making plays. He wants it. He loves it. He's going out there and making plays. Our job is to find different ways to get him the football more down the field because he can do it. As the season goes on, his role will expand and I'm excited for it.

Q. What have you been working on throughout the season, what do you feel like you need to work on?

PATRICK MAHOMES: I think all you can do is keep working. That's everything. It's me with timing. It's them just continuing to get catches as much as possible. Lucky for us, our defense is playing so good, so we are sitting here 7-2 going into the bye. We can get better as an offense. I think if the offense can get where it needs to be, I think we'll be a hard team to beat.

Q. (No microphone.)

PATRICK MAHOMES: I haven't played in London yet, so I don't know that crowd.

Arrowhead is special because there's so many Chiefs fans. Obviously there were a lot of Chiefs fans at this game which I was extremely happy about it. It's spread across all the NFL.

I mean, they're passionate both ways. The Chiefs fans, they've been there for 50 years. They understand when we win, they're going to be the loudest for the defense and stuff like that. I thought the Frankfurt fans did a great job of that. It felt like a home game. The Chiefs fans showed up out there and the Chiefs Kingdom was loud and proud.

Q. Is it strange to feel like you're playing at home? There are rumors of the NFL coming to Spain. Would you like to play there?

PATRICK MAHOMES: I'm up for everything. I'm excited to get across the world, play football, show American football and what it's done for not only me but for the a lot of people across the rest of the world.

I thought it was really cool to be out here. The whole experience, being out in the city, the practice facility, you could tell everybody was excited. Like I said, I want to come back. I don't know what this will be, but when I get the opportunity, I hope Clark jumps at it and we can be back out here playing football games.
