Q. Pat, defense comes away with nine sacks today. Have you been part of the defensive performance where they've racked up nine sacks and what was that like?

PATRICK SURTAIN: It was honestly pretty crazy. It was just like I was sitting back watching, being a fan of it, you know what I mean, because we covering. It's barely one or two seconds I look up, there's a sack.

So it's a pleasure to watch and a pleasure to be part of. Honestly, when we got in the game, we understood offensively what they was trying to do. All we were trying to do is rush and cover and have that align at the same time. We never knew we was going to come out victorious. You know what I mean?

We secured the win, were able to get the job done at the end of the game, and it helped us a lot.

Q. Pat, you mentioned rushing the quarterback. Did you feel he was an extra second hesitant in terms of his throwing game? Did you sense that? One or two seconds hesitant?

PATRICK SURTAIN: Yeah. I really think pressure can affect the rhythm of an offense, you know what I mean? Credit to VJ as well. I think he was giving him different looks, different coverages. I mean, and we added pressure with that as well.

I feel like when you generate that much pressure, we have the ability to be open and do new coverages, try new different disguises and stuff like that.

So it's something we prepared for during the week when we cover, you understand how much pressure we get back there. Affecting the quarterback, that makes for a dominant defense.

Q. How did you like the opportunities to come up what you consider the best wide receiver on the team?

PATRICK SURTAIN: I take on that challenge. Just going up against the best each and every week. I don't take it lightly. Each and every week, through preparation, I always focus on the technical side of things. Trying new stuff, trying to affect their game and just go out there and do what I do at the end of the day. My coaches and my teammates believe in me to do that.

Q. You talked about the trip to Tampa and New York. The past ten days, winning over Philly and today...

PATRICK SURTAIN: Yeah. Take into account the past weeks. We had a Monday night game, then had to travel to Philadelphia on a short week, going into a hostile environment like that, then travel from Philly to London, even though it's not ideal.

I think it just a credit and a testament to the staff and the team being able to lock in no matter what the circumstances are. We came to secure one thing and that's a win. It's very important in the league. Most wins you get... Confidence sets you up great for the future. We knew what the main thing was and that was to win.

Q. It seemed like Garrett Wilson was frustrated on and off the field. Did you get a sense going against him that was going on? Is there anything you did to spark it?

PATRICK SURTAIN: It's hard to get a rhythm, obviously, with the pressure we generate and the coverage we have. But I seen instances he was a little hurt a little bit, and I didn't really peep until...

Throughout the game, seemed like he was grabbing his ribs or something. But yeah, I just think that collectively as a unit, we try to create pressure and create frustration amongst their best players.

Q. When you're on the final play of the game, you're in the game, what does it feel like knowing you've got to make this play or you're going to, you know, give up the field?

PATRICK SURTAIN: All or none, you know. Back against the wall. We've got to shine in those opportunities. Shine in those stages. In order for us to be a great team further down the line, we've got to be able to concentrate and focus in windows.

Those big-time snaps in those series. We know how critical it was to get a stop at the end of the game they was in good territory to get a field goal. We pushed them further back from field goal range, forcing them to go for it on fourth down.

We was trying to allow them to play into our hands. At the end of the day, we got the job done and I'm very proud of this unit, for sure.

Q. Pat, I saw you before the game signing some jerseys for some kids. Does their smiles boost your play or give you a positive outlook?

PATRICK SURTAIN: It definitely does. Every time before the game, whether I'm signing, but I do a little pregame ritual. I give a football to a kid out there in the stands, you know what I mean, and that just gives me so much more confidence and motivation, knowing the kids look up to us in an aspiring way.

All I try to do is inspire and lead the youth the right way. I think it's pretty inspiring to see the fans and everybody come together to support us. To them, we're superheroes in a way. So I try my best to make somebody's day.

Q. You create moments they are never going to forget.

PATRICK SURTAIN: Exactly, yeah.
