Toronto FC 2, Charlotte 0
Q. There were moments where Fede scores the second goal and made a very important play in your own box, what does it mean to a coach and team to get that kind of volume from a guy?
BOB BRADLEY: Yeah, look, the team understands that all different kind of plays add up to make, to help teams become good, to win, to take three points, and there's a career understanding in the group that you've got to make all the plays on the field and everybody has got to be part of it. So I think that was clear tonight.
Q. Another splendid performance by Chris Mavinga. Wanted to get your thoughts on what you saw from him tonight?
BOB BRADLEY: Yeah, defensively in the back, Chris made a lot of important plays. I think he's in a good way. His mentality has been quite good. You can tell he's confident and he's really played very well for us.
Q. That Lorenzo goal, was that something you've been working on on the training ground or how would you describe that one?
BOB BRADLEY: Yeah, we had different ideas that we work on. It's a very good delivery, and you know, we have ideas as to different moments who can get to the back zone.
You know, when Fede can hit that kind of ball and you've got hard runners and that causes them to try to deal with the runners, then the possibility that you've got somebody waiting at the back, especially Lorenzo in those moments because if it comes through, his ability to finish in different ways.
Q. My understanding is Oso is dealing with illness. How serious is that? And given the circumstances, how big of a win was this tonight, especially with just looking at the scoreboards, results really went your way tonight.
BOB BRADLEY: Yeah, it's an important three points. We understood -- I had already mentioned that in those four games, we took ten points and we were disappointed with New England at home and then going to Miami and not coming away with anything but everybody felt strongly that now we can come on the road, get the right mentality, find a way to get three points, and when you're missing guys, important players, then everybody is called on. You really see the way the group rallies in moments like that and so that becomes just what you need as you try to put a real run together down the stretch.
And yeah, Oso, this past week, he hasn't been feeling right. It's not COVID but we are just trying to make sure that he's -- that he's feeling right and can keep himself going. So that was the way the decision went.
Q. I believe ten of the 14 goals Toronto FC scored since making their debuts back in July, Lorenzo and Federico, have scored or assisted on 10 of 14 of those goals. Are you surprised by the impact they are making to this team?
BOB BRADLEY: Well, they are good players, and look, I still think they are getting sharper and fitter by the day. They are always capable of making big plays. That's clear. We've seen that from both of them throughout their careers. But as they get sharper, as they can contribute more in other ways, that makes our team better. I'm not surprised and those two continue to push. I think they both know that there's more there for them.
Q. A very confident performance from Alex Bonny oh today especially after last weekend. How important is it to see him bounce back and show that character today?
BOB BRADLEY: Very important. Alex is experienced, and so an ability to put things behind you, keep going. He knows that we're counting on him, and happy for him tonight.
