Toronto FC 2, Philadelphia 1
Q. Just how about did it feel to be in front of the fans banging on a drum after what the team has gone through?
DEANDRE KERR: It felt amazing, long overdue. It's been a tough stretch, so to get this win in front of the fans, they deserve it. It felt amazing.
Q. Can you describe the opening goal? Did you know that there was a play like that?
DEANDRE KERR: I just remember Deiby laying the ball, and once Lorenzo gets it with space, then I just know I've seen him make a run or give advice, and he saw me -- made a good pass and focused on the finish and it worked out.
Q. John said you had been feeling with a foot injury. Can you tell us what that's been like and how it's bothered you?
DEANDRE KERR: It's been tough but it's been nagging. I just kind of pushed through and just be ready and give everything I can when my number is called. So yeah, that's all I can do.
Q. What kind of injury was it or is it? Are you still dealing with it?
DEANDRE KERR: Yeah, not -- not entirely sure. Just certain mechanics. Certain -- just the way my foot is shaped, it just leads to some complications. Yeah just been working on it every day and giving it everything I can every time.
Q. How badly did you guys need this?
DEANDRE KERR: Yeah, we needed it badly, more than anything. We felt like we hit rock bottom mid week. Yeah, this was a must-win to start climbing again.
Q. Inaudible.
DEANDRE KERR: I did get a touch -- going to try to get that goal back (Laughter).
