Toronto FC 1, Houston 0
Q. How would you characterize how the team played tonight?
PRINCE OWUSU: Today we did a hell of a job. We fight together. We knew we play against Houston. But especially against the weather, we knew the weather will be really tough for us. Houston is used to this weather.
We knew the game, the longer the game, it will get harder for us but we have to stay tight. Yeah, try to score our chances, what we did in a set piece. What we trained the whole week. And yeah, we are happy that we won. We know it was not our best game today but at the end, we really don't care. We're just happy with the three points. A lot of games where we was good or even the better team and we lost after. So we take the three points happily with us back home.
Q. You didn't have a lot to feed on and didn't see a lot of the ball in the first half. How much is it about staying alert and alive with you waiting for that moment to come?
PRINCE OWUSU: Yeah, you have to -- honestly you have to always make your mind be awake. As a striker, you know one moment can change their whole game or the dynamic of the game.
Yeah, we knew set pieces were today a big, big opportunity for us. So it was ask, we took the opportunity. I'm really happy that I helped the team with the goal. See the guys in the locker are really tired. They put everything on pitch, and we deserved the win for our effort, what we did, and yeah, it pace off. It paid off. And I'm really proud of the guys.
Q. Can you break down the goal for us and what did you think of Fede's delivery on the corner kick?
PRINCE OWUSU: Honestly I had a feel that the ball would come to the back post. This is hard to explain. This is just a feeling. A close player, you watch his movement and you understand his game. Just things that I saw before training. Like I said we trained a lot of set pieces in training. So the feeling was right, and I'm happy, yes.
Q. What does it do for the side to start off this final part of the season with a big three points on the road?
PRINCE OWUSU: Huge. Huge. After two weeks break to start with a win, because it's not easy, you know. You get out of your rhythm and -- and especially games in Houston in this environment is double-hard. I think now we have to rest. We have to rest and make sure that we are ready for Canadian Cup game. The next ten games are very important. We know that. The next games are like our finals. This is how we also want to start every game. We know what type of pressure is now. Obviously it's crunch time and everybody is alert. So we know what we have to do. We know our plans, and we know that we have a lot of experienced players, also, in the squad, who already experienced this situation. So we will be prepared.
