D.C United 3, Toronto FC 1
DEANDRE KERR: It's definitely a tough one. I think we weren't good in the first half and second half, we started to lose our way a little bit and they got the goal and after we tied it up, the game got a bit stretched and got a bit more direct, which probably favored them. So yeah, tough one.
Q. Seemed like it was a game that struggled to find --
DEANDRE KERR: Yeah, it's always tough against a team like D.C. They are disciplined defensively and they fight for second balls. So we knew it was going to be tough.
Q. Coach was in here and he was pretty fired up about how intense next couple week the are going to be for TFC. What was the message in the room?
DEANDRE KERR: Just we are going to play -- we know how important the games are going to be from now on and every game is a Cup final for us to get to that playoff spot. That's what we are going to be working towards this next week and for the rest of the season.
Q. Have you personally ever been in a situation like this before where you're chasing a playoff position and everyone has to come together?
DEANDRE KERR: No, I haven't. But this is my first time experiencing it and I'm excited to do the best I can to help the team in every way possible in order to make that push and make the playoffs.
Q. It's been a battle --
DEANDRE KERR: I've taken some time to get back tie hundred percent and really feel like myself again. I was happy to be out there without pain. It gives me good confidence.
Q. John says you --
DEANDRE KERR: Yeah, yeah, as I said it's towards the end of the season and yeah, I want to help the team get to where I know we can be and that's a playoff spot. I'm just going to give it a 110 percent to help get us there.
Q. Does that leave a sour taste?
DEANDRE KERR: It's a tough one but it's gone now, so we know what's next and we know what's coming. Just got to get ready for that.
