Broncos - 23, Jaguars - 13
Q. Take us through the interception.
PAT SURTAIN: I was off and I sort of read the quarterback. I opened up and made the play, a 50/50 ball. And we needed it.
Q. You said this week that you were approaching it like a normal week. Anything surprise you from your first start, or were you pretty comfortable out there?
PAT SURTAIN: I was pretty comfortable. They ran some double moves early on that that I could fix, just fix my eyes on some of the plays. But other than that, I think we prepared throughout the week. I prepared well. Showed it in the game.
Q. No points allowed from the defense after that first drive. What was the key to bottling them up?
PAT SURTAIN: The main key was focusing our eyes, make sure our eyes were good. Flying around to the ball. Getting pressure. Making plays on the ball. That was our key thing going on going into the second half.
Q. Did you think they were pushing you a little bit given it was your first start? Did you think they would come at you a little bit?
PAT SURTAIN: Yes, definitely. Going out there, my first start. I was expecting that going into the game. They were going to try me early. I just had to make up for it.
Q. To get a game ball after your first start, what does that mean?
PAT SURTAIN: It means a great thing, just going out there, doing what I need to do for the team, making plays out there. It was a tremendous feeling.
