Ravens 27, Jaguars 28
Q. Lamar, this is kind of like some of the other games where at the end... Does it feel like the other losses?
LAMAR JACKSON: Yep. It do. Feel like that, early games this year.
Q. What can you guys do to stop that trend a little bit?
LAMAR JACKSON: Shoot, just have to score more points. Try to score more points early, if anything. Try not to miss the opportunities. Missed a few opportunities out there.
That's it.
Q. Lamar, if you had to put your finger on why you guys aren't cashing in when you know you can in the red zone...
LAMAR JACKSON: I don't know. Look good in practice. In the game, like I said, we have opportunities. Sometimes we just didn't hit it. You know, we hit one late in the game, went up.
But still, I feel like we score early, game look different. The team will have confidence. They got confidence. And shout out to Trevor Lawrence because he played his butt off. He went off and it's just what it was.
Q. Do you remember the last time you played in this stadium?
LAMAR JACKSON: Yeah, they told me college. I lost a game, so...
Q. What emotions do you think about when you think about that? How does that make you feel?
LAMAR JACKSON: How would you feel if you lose? Exactly. That's what I'm feeling. Don't like losing. Don't nobody like losing, but it is what it is.
Just got to move on and get ready for next week. That's all. Can't do anything about it though.
Q. Lamar, I know obviously you love this defense, you trust this defense. When you guys score with about two minutes left and you see them come on the field, face a fourth and 7, whatever it was, how are you feeling then?
LAMAR JACKSON: I really didn't want to get that many -- that much time on the clock, but like you said, I got faith in our defense. It was just their day. They made plays. It's an NFL team. They should have made plays. They made plays and came out with a W.
Q. Talk about what you saw on the long completion to Desean Jackson?
LAMAR JACKSON: They went Tampa 2. I was just trying to hold that back side safety down with D-Rob, and D-Jack just did the rest.
Q. Lamar, is it frustrating to see potential touchdowns, big plays, just squirt off someone's hands?
LAMAR JACKSON: Yeah. It happens. You know, wasn't just the offense. We are going to get back in the lab and regroup and we are going to be where we want to be at. It happens.
Q. You don't want to learn your lessons after a loss, but do you think this team was kind of heading for some kind of harsh reality like this?
LAMAR JACKSON: Say that again. What team?
Q. Just the way you've kind of struggled, do you think that this was kind of coming, overdue?
LAMAR JACKSON: No. You know, like I said, in practice everything look good. We look crisp in practice. Just missed opportunities. When we're playing in the game like this, you know, a tough environment, you can't miss those. We need those, everything, catches, throws. We need everything. We need to put points on the board, separate, help our defense.
Q. Typically in your years here the red zone you guys pretty much...
LAMAR JACKSON: Yeah.
Q. Is it a different feeling because this is something that is not happened very often with you guys?
LAMAR JACKSON: I don't know what to tell you. I don't know what to tell you. You see it, I'm seeing it, but I'm out there trying to make it happen. Just not clicking in the red zone. That's just that.
Q. After one of these, at least it shows that you're able to brush it off. You have done this before where you had these tough, difficult losses. Can you rely on that a little bit?
LAMAR JACKSON: Really not trying to brush off nothing anymore. Really not trying to lose at all. We don't want to have close games. We need to do what we do. Need to do what we do.
