Jaguars - 31, Dolphins - 18
Q. I'm sure it's been a hard night to get through. How would you describe your emotions right now?
TYREEK HILL: Well, obviously this is a weird situation for the whole team. It's very unfortunate. Nobody ever wants to feel the way we feel, especially Daewood, he was in the same receiver room as me. So it sucks. Just seeing a young player go through something like that, or anybody in general, in this league, just going through something like that, trying to make a living, trying to make this team, trying to live out their childhood dream, it sucks. I always put myself in that position.
Q. Sharing the room with him, knowing him better than we do, what do you know about him? What can you tell us?
TYREEK HILL: I can say this about Daewood: Each and every day he has the same attitude, same mindset, and that's to get better and that's to help this team win games. He's a full ball of energy. All fast guys are. I mean, I feel like I can speak for the whole room when I say all of us enjoy being around Daewood. And this is just a situation that we don't wish upon anybody in this league. It's not fun for the sport.
Q. I think you might have been one of the first players to go out onto the field. Could you describe what's going through your head at that time?
TYREEK HILL: You know what, man, I really don't know, but my first thing was I just wanted to make sure he was moving, because where we was all standing at, we didn't have a good view and we only could see his feet. So none of his body was moving. It was like, okay, what's going on? I'm like, I gotta get out there. Even if they stop me, I have to at least get a closer look. Turned around and the whole team was coming. There was no way from them stopping us to check up on our brother to make sure he's all right because I feel the trainers they're going to give you certain information. They're going to give you its and bits of what's going on. So I mean, I just had to see it for my own eyes. He's in good spirits right now and I seen that. Shaking his head and stuff like that, breathing. So once we seen that, everybody was, like, relax.
Q. So you were able to actually see him move while he was out on the field?
TYREEK HILL: Yeah, he moved his head. The trainer was talking to him as they was driving off. He was like shaking his head and stuff like that. So, yeah.
Q. Daewood, was he on your side of the roster?
TYREEK HILL: Yes, Daewood was on my team. So, yeah, he was one of my selections.
Q. What will tomorrow be like? I guess it probably depends on how Daewood is going, but can you project or take a guess?
TYREEK HILL: I really can't predict, but I'm sure everybody's going to continue to rally around Daewood, support him. Even with whatever happens with this team, guys are still going to reach out and stuff to him, make sure his family is all right. And that just shows you what kind of team this is. I know I am. You feel me? Because as a leader of our room, I feel that's my responsibility. I feel like I gotta go check on my brother.
