Coach Andy Reid

Visitors Postgame Press Conference

Jacksonville Jaguars 26, Kansas City Chiefs 13

ANDY REID: All right, as far as injuries go, Hollywood Brown, kind of that same thing that Tyreek had down here actually, sternoclavicular post dislocation. They took him to the hospital. They'll check him out and they're working on that as we speak.

And then McKade had -- he hurt his left knee, so they'll evaluate that in the next day or so.

Other than that I think everybody else made it out okay. Wanya didn't play, but we had talked about his injury there.

So there was some good things and there were some things we need to work on in this game. I think the obvious is we'll clean up the special teams and what took place there. The defense kind of compromised their first series there by putting us into a short field.

I thought the offense did some nice thing. Normally we'll catch that ball that was a little bit low there and complete that and keep the drive going. You know, so things to work on, but there are also some positive things. I thought Hicks and Steele played well. Those two you can look at and go. All right, they jumped out a little bit.

Q. Coach, if you don't mind, on the special teams with safety, did they give you an estimation on that?

ANDY REID: Yeah, they did. I think they're trying to work that out. Normally when a ball goes in the end zone, you touch it there and then it's a dead ball, you know. We'll get it cleared up and see what they come up with.

Q. You mentioned Hollywood's exact injury. But just a level of concern with obviously Tyreek missing time?

ANDY REID: Yeah, no, I think he'll miss some time. We'll just see where it is. Kind of going through it right now and we'll know more later on.

Q. You touched on Carson. Just wondering if you could speak to his first action.

ANDY REID: Yeah, started off like gangbusters and then the rush, the rush got him. So what he did and how he handled things was great. It was just he had a lot of pressure there working through.

Q. You said you wanted to get some of the higher draft picks some reps with better competition. What did you see from those guys?

ANDY REID: Yeah, I thought for the most part they did a good job. Worthy got in there and did some things on a few plays. First call was for him. They threw a little different coverage at us, but that's all right.

So and then I thought Wylie, thought he did a pretty good job there. Defensively they all got a ton of reps. I thought Hicks, I mentioned him just stepping up. He did a real nice job in there.

Q. You mentioned Wiley, he took a hit there. Was that a welcome to the NFL moment?

ANDY REID: Yeah, he's a big target. He's going to take a few of those much as long as you bounced up.

Q. Obviously Jaden had a really good training camp. Take it to another level when you see him translate over to a preseason game?

ANDY REID: Yeah, you know, I liked what I saw. Big, he's big and he's fast. Thought he did a nice job all the way around.

Q. You've got players obviously that come to the league for the first time. Since you're one of the two teams that don't do joint practices, what are some of the -- I know you went into this a little bit -- a little bit more what were some of the positives you take away from tonight that you saw from your new players?

ANDY REID: Yeah, just kind of what I mentioned. Just I like what I have seen. I'm not going to go back through all those guys. I thought there were some positives things they can take from it. Some cases they have to learn and we'll clean all that up.

Be good tape for them.
