Brian Thomas Jr.

Postgame Press Conference

Jaguars 32, Patriots 16

Q. Take me through that look that you had on that big catch on that play. What was going through your mind?

BRIAN THOMAS JR.: I seen that they were playing quarters, and the safeties were playing kind of low. So I knew that I was able to get by my man and run out on my break, I would be open.

Q. (Indiscernible). How pleased are you with your progression?

BRIAN THOMAS JR.: I'm very pleased with how our chemistry has grown and how we continue to grow each and every game. I mean, we just want to come out each and every game and just continue to get better. Keep pushing just to be the best that we can be as a team.

Q. (Indiscernible). You are over 500 receiving yards now I believe. How pleased are your development?

BRIAN THOMAS JR.: I still got a lot of development. Still in my first year. I'm really just coming out there practicing hard and just trying to go out there in the game and do the best that I can do, be the best that I can be and just take everything step by step, putting my best foot forward each and every day and get better.

Q. (Indiscernible) using you in the run game as well. How comfortable do you feel running as well?

BRIAN THOMAS JR.: I feel super comfortable running the ball. I was able to play running back a little bit growing up and in high school and stuff like that.

I mean, it's feels kind of normal to me just being able to play that. Just getting the ball in my hands I feel I'm a playmaker. Once I get the ball in miss hands, I feel like I can make a play.

Q. Did LSU set you up for success?

BRIAN THOMAS JR.: Yeah, for sure. LSU is a great school, great football. Great coaches there. I mean, just the way that we work there at LSU, I mean, that's what we pride ourselves on. Just going out there and being the best we can be each and every day and just putting the work in. We push each other just to be the best that we can be.

Q. Brian, can you talk about how the team handled the deficit? You guys have done a good job handling adversity in some of the other games. Here you have a 10-0 deficit, and it just seemed like the offense (indiscernible). Can you talk about the mindset of the team and not letting a bad start lead to something worse?

BRIAN THOMAS JR.: That's been the emphasis, sticking together and playing together. Just playing for one another. Just coming out there even though we didn't did have the start that we maybe wanted, just sticking together and keep playing. It will all fall together.

Q. When Tank goes in and Parker Washington (indiscernible) the longest in Jags' history. What does that do and encourage you?

BRIAN THOMAS JR.: It was great to be able to see Parker do that. I mean, we were getting ready to go on offense and just all of a sudden he just is going for, what was it, 94-, 96-yard touchdown. It was amazing. Everybody on the sidelines celebrating for him, just happy for me, so it was amazing to be able to see that.
