Jets 32, Jaguars 25
Q. Can you talk, obviously the Aaron-to-Adams combo today, was what was your reaction to that?
JEFF ULBRICH: Historic, magical, to get his 100th TD today was just, I feel honored to have seen it and to have been here for it. It was an amazing moment for those two guys. Obviously, a lot of ball between them and a lot of touchdowns. So for them to get that was special.
Q. He had no catches at halftime, Davante. And then second half, what was the difference?
JEFF ULBRICH: Just some good adjustments. Todd did an excellent job of really trying to figure out their coverage and took advantage of it in the second half. It was really a tale of two halves on both sides of the ball as far as making adjustments. We had a much better second half.
Q. Did you consider taking a knee and kicking the field goal?
JEFF ULBRICH: I did. At the same time, I wanted to be aggressive, and I wanted the points. They were having some success on offense so I wanted to put the nail in the coffin at the end.
Q. What has it been like having Davante in this building? I know he came in in the middle of the year. What has it been like having him?
JEFF ULBRICH: It's been incredible. For a guy to come in when he did, without real time on task with this locker room and to have the impact he's had, I've never seen it ever. He's a consummate pro. He's a force multiplier. He just elevates those around him. He's an historical player in this league, and we're fortunate to have him.
It's not just the talent. It's his process. It's his professionalism. It's all that. So he's had a tremendous impact on these young guys.
Q. There's a lot of talk this time of year of games being meaningless. What does this win mean to this group right now?
JEFF ULBRICH: It means everything. Regardless of circumstance, regardless of what may be said in the outside world, this locker room is right, and the culture and the connection of these guys is right. I know the results have not been there, but the process has been right, and that's maybe the most frustrating thing about this whole circumstance. For them to come through and have the game they had today, so deserved, and I'm so happy for that locker room.
Q. Is there a human nature reaction to wonder kind of where this has been, particularly the Aaron to Davante stuff? Where this has been all this time?
JEFF ULBRICH: In all honesty, I'm embracing this moment right now with this team and this performance. It was unbelievable today, and we'll take it at that.
Q. After three weeks in a row with the fourth quarter struggles, what was it like to finally close the door?
JEFF ULBRICH: It felt amazing, as you can imagine.
Q. How did it feel to finally get the interception?
JEFF ULBRICH: Yeah, and to get two of them, really cool for the back end because they've been working their butts off and taking a lot of heat for that. For them to finally get their interceptions was really cool. Especially to win the game like that.
Q. Sauce hasn't had one in a while.
JEFF ULBRICH: Yeah, so happy for him because he's been working his butt off and been frustrated with our results as a team, as a defense, and he knows the standard at which he needs to play on a weekly basis. So happy for him to be able to finish the game in that way.
Q. (No microphone) issues, and to go through all of that and be able to overcome.
JEFF ULBRICH: Just another testament to that locker room. Countless adversity this year. It was just another obstacle to overcome, and they did it.
Q. Injuries?
JEFF ULBRICH: I don't have an injury report.
Thank you, guys.
